Are the oil cooling connections on the radiator of a 95 Oldsmobile Aurora metric or standard?

I installed a new radiator in my 1995 Aurora. However, I cross threaded the top connection for the oil cooling line. I was going to try and tap the hole but I'm not sure if the threads are standard or Metric.

My Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 Litre Cummins Turbo Diesel has been in the shop since Sept. 17, 2009. It is now November 7, 2009 and they are hoping to get it back to us early December (but for us to not to hold our breath). Frankly, I think this is ridiculous!! It went in for Transmission problems at 111000 km, and we ended up with a warrantied rebuild (2nd gear gone), at the time it was brought in the ABS Controller also seemed to go (we had no speedometer, odometer, cruise control and the ABS brake light was on). Now we are just waiting on an ABS Controller that the Dodge Dealership can't seem to get, yet they won't let our truck out of the shop without this part. Do you have any helpful advice???? This is our ONLY vehicle and we live outside of the city so it is becoming extremely frustrating and concerning. Although they have given us a rental car (just recently)for the time being. Thanks for your help :)

Remote starter

I have a 2010 Town & Country. How do I get the remote starter to heat up the van. I turn up the heat. I push the remote and the fans don't come on. After 10mns it shuts itself off and nothing happens.

Garage says security code is why car won't start. Need your help. 98 Buick LeSabre.

Went to Walmart 20 mile drive, Car was fine, had them change oil. When I returned to pick it up I was told car would not start and they had to push it out of the garage area. They had tried to start it so much my battery was dead. Had to get a tow truck and took to my mechanic. Car will not start, not even a sound when trying to start, all inside works radio, power windows, horn, wipers. The garage has had the car for 3 days, they tried to over ride the security system NO LUCK, tried different key, everything they can think of. He does not have the scanner to retrieve the code he said, must tow again to dealer, $100-$150 for dealer to scan. Can any one help with the code or a way to bypass the security system. I haven't been able to go to work this is the only car I have.

What compact cars tend to cost less to insure? 16 year old daughter's first car, she likes Ford Focus, Chevy Cavalier, Dodge Neon, Pontiac Sunfire, Pontiac Vibe, Honda Civic. We are looking for cheaper cars ($3000 to $4000), will not likely place collision insurance on it, liability and comprehensive only.

I just replaced the battery for my 1998 Subaru Legacy. Blinkers keep flashing. Think there's a reset button but where?

After replacing the battery the flashers are blinking intermittently even when car is off. I think there is a reset button under the dash somewhere as I remember this happening before with a battery issue. Where is the reset button?

I replaced everything that deals with the emissions for the car for inspection and the list of parts I replaced are:

1. Evap Purge Valve
2. Evap Vent Valve
3. Tank Pressure Sensor
4. Gas Cap
5. and one of the plastic lines on the tank

Anybody knows whats wrong let me know and yes I reset the light and drove about 100 miles and it still comes on.

I have a 2002 Mercury Sable GS. My check engine light has been on for quite some time, and every time I get it hooked up to the machine I get the DTC Code P0316. The code means engine misfire detected on start up (first 1000 revolutions). What does this mean and how can I fix it?

95 7.3 turbo starts and runs perfectly until turned off then it won't start untll it cools off. Ford F-250. Any ideas?

I have a 1995 F-250 7.3 turbo it starts and runs perfectly till shut off then it takes about 2 hours or till it cools off before it will start again. Then it will run perfect again till shut off. It only has 134,000 on it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I replaced the fuel filter, and TPC (throttle position sensor).

When I check the fuel pressure at the relief/pressure check valve and have my son start it fuel goes everywhere. It seems like its getting enough fuel?. But it keeps dying out.

Hi,

No problem at all with the car last night. This morning when I started it, there was a slight clink, as though metal had tapped on concrete. From that point on, it rattled fairly loud. Not dramatic, but not soft. The sound evens out some while driving, and stopped entirely a few times but started back up, ie while in park but only one time and driving slowly out of a parking lot, again, one time. When turning the car off, the sound is a wobble just prior to dying. Oddly enough the sound seems to slow down as I accelerate, rather then speed up with the motor.

Something could be loose I suppose, but I'm thinking crankshaft. If it is the crankshaft, any possible estimate on how long it may last before it goes. That would be a wild guess, but perhaps someone has experience with it lasting awhile??? I know I shouldn't drive it, but with it being my only vehicle and work tonight, unfortunately a 100 mile commute...no show, no matter the reason, means no job :( I don't have much choice but to try.

If it is the crankshaft, any ides on a price for rebuilt/used? If it seizes, what might I be looking at price wise on a used motor?

I cannot get the starter from under the engine because of the 4 wheel drive and oilpan. There is a short piece of the exhaust with flanges on each end right behind where the starter bolts on. Does this piece need to be removed in order to get starter out for replacement?

I have replaced the headlight switch and this morning the lights came on again all by themselves while the vehicle was sitting in the driveway. What do I check next to try and find this problem? I do not have a wiring diagram for the vehicle. This is also causing the right headlight to keep blowing.

I want to remove the plug connector to the computer and re-seat it a few times to maybe remove possible corrosion causing intermittent driveability problems. Where is the computer located, behind the glove compartment? Looking for drawings, pictures, written instructions to access the computer.

Car has 125,000 miles on it. Recently, in troubleshooting this problem, replaced (original!) plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap. Problem is very intermittent. Car will run fine for weeks, then has 'no idle' problem for a couple of days. Had it in to shop twice, but they can't find anything wrong. Runs fine for them. Possible computer problem?

Also intermittent transmission problem. Won't shift into second gear. Bypasses second, going directly to third. Overdrive light on dash flashes when this problem is occurring. Is this also a possible computer problem?

Good battery and won't start, why? Need new alternator? GMC Sierra 1500.

I have 1990 GMC Sierra PU. It was dead on me couple time. I noticed once I jumped start my battery and it was running for little bit then engine just shut off by itself while running. I checked battery ok but some one at one of auto parts told to replace alternator. I bought it but haven't put it on before get more information from your all experts.

In the morning at times when I put it into gear it acts like the wheels are blocked. The motor acts like it's pulling hard but not free revving up then all of a sudden something release and it moves.

I do let the engine warm up until the fast idle drops down before trying to take off. The fluid and filter was changed at 30,000 miles. Thank you!

I just picked this up. Sat 20 years, got new battery, went and turn key and I hear a boing sound coming from the metal box mounted on the firewall beside driver's hood hinge.

So what I did was cross the big hot post with the 1 small post closest to the hot side and the motor would start turning, then I bought a new solenoid and the same thing,it apparently wasn't it. There is a small metal like box only about 1 in wide by 1/2 in. thick by 1 in a plastic backing. This screws onto the big hot post of solenoid. A wire runs from 1 nut on that box up to the firewall metal box that makes like a springy BOING sound. It seems to do it turning to start and back again. But if I take both small wires on the face of the solenoid and reverse them but the key works but only goes to mark at start and engages not a normal turn key tight let off, so starter stays engaged.

Confused, there are 2 small clips on bottom of firewall box. 1 runs into car POSSIBLY to the Ignition key area. Boy I could use some HELP. Thanks Jim.

What might cause a whining noise from the rear end? Rear rotors have been machined. Vehicle is a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500.

The noise can be heard when the vehicle is turned off and in neutral coasting down the road. Rear rotors have been machined. Noise can be heard only inside the vehicle when the vehicle is running on a hoist. Noise can be heard when traveling at low speeds in low gears.

2000 Olds Intrigue. Start the car up and it quits after about 5 minutes, restart it and it runs fine.
