Has Toyota made any official announcement on whether they're making the Solara Convertible in 2009, or not?

My 2000 Solara with 110,000 miles seems to be developing a problem with the shocks and struts. Have other 2000 Solara owners had this problem?

I have a 2007 Toyota Camry Solara. When slowing down to come to a stop, at around 18 MPH, the car feels like it went into neutral. It picks up speed and you don't have any engine breaking. Any ideas???

2005 Toyota Solara. At startup, running lights dim. Bright lights will not come on. What's up? Belts?

Problem is sporadic .no belts have been changed. have 117,000 miles on my car. can worn out alternator belts cause this? due to circumstances scheduled maintenance has not been done other than changing oil and air filters, brakes etc...

Is it true that the Toyota Solara convertible is being discontinued for 2009 and if so will Toyota offer another convertible?

The power seat in the 2000 Toyota Solara won't move forward or back. Other seat functions work, just not that one.

I think it's just the switch but it could be the motor? Is it one motor does it all? Is there a website to get info on the seat?

It is time to replace the tires that came on the car. I am more of an average touring driver. I don't think I need the high performance tire for my driving style.

2000 Toyota solara w/ 156000 miles i recently got new tires and the shop person said one of the struts was going bad a couple of thousand miles later two of the tires started separating. could this be caused by the struts? and how do i tell if my struts are going bad? the car drives straight with no shimmies or shakes (after i replaced the tires)

Need color codes and wiring diagrams for a 99 Toyota Camry Solara OEM stereo system

I am trying to switch an OEM stereo system to an after market Kenwood CD deck. I have the under pocket adapter plate but am having trouble finding the 12+ volt acc an 12+ volt Constant on the wire harness that plugs into the OEM system. I have tried to trace down which ones they are and have looked up several online sites that have the color coding for the wires BUT the colors don't match those on the harness and I can't find the right wires. I have also noticed that the OEM system has an additional black lead that connects next to the antenna. What is this lead? Is it an additional power source or what. The OEM system does not work without it. If you can help me to find the right wire diagram with the Correct color codings It would help greatly.

rear left quarter panel and trunk area. seller claims fixed flawlessly with all Toyota parts and passed state inspection. Brand new 07. How can one tell if frame bent, etc? How should price be affected?

Trying to locate which fuse is the OEM alarm circuit. Was going to try to isolate the "clicking" by removing fuse and start from there. Cant's find location in the book or on line. Any help would be appreciated.

Have 135,000 miles, new struts and alignment. After stop smoothes out again for another 2.5 hours or so. Dealer can't find problem why is happening. Happens only on freeway.

Recently my 2000 V6 Solara will not start initially when damp or humid. Battery is fine. Starter does not engage. On 3rd or 4th attempt starts & runs fine. In dry weather starts fine as always. Could there be an electrical component in the ignition circuit that has become sensitive to humidity? Entire engine is original with 220,000 miles (355,000 km)

Toyota Solara condenser fans running at slow speed when A/C is on.

On my 04 Solara, when I turn the A/C on both the condenser fans are turning at slow speed. If I remove the coolant sensor wire then both turns at full speed, but of course they stay on all the time. There are 3 relays, all are working fine. I did check the coolant sensor resistance, looks ok.

Please help to stay "Cool"

The first time my rear alignment was out (toe in) it chewed my Bridgestone Serenity's with only 30,000k down to slick. After realignment at 6000 kms it's happening again with mainly highway driving. The outside tread is wearing faster.

Any ideas what's causing the alignment to go out? Dealership has inspected the rear suspension and sees no indicators.

2000 Toyota Solara V6 SLE

This car is driven 5-6 times per week. About 1 time a week, turn key, nothing. No click, anything. Turn again, sometimes starts, sometimes not without trying it a few times.

Always all other electronics works as normal. So far, only happens after sitting over night or for couple days. Have 1 yr. old battery. Had it tested, tests good, cranking power good. Starter was tested, tests good. Ignition switch seems as tight as always has been, not loose, no slop.

Other than the battery replaced (now 2 times over 10 years), Nothing else under hood or underdash ever been changed. Bought the car new.

Ideas?

Starter relay switch location on a Toyota Camry Solara?

In the 2000 model Solara SLE V6, is the starter relay an internal component of the starter or an external component somewhere under the hood? Does this model Solara use the same starter as Lexis - premium starter as opposed to a standard starter?

Vibration in rear of 99 Toyota Solara.

Tires are new and have been balanced and rotated with no change. The vibration can be felt in the seat and nothing from the steering wheel.

Can a bad wheel bearing in the rear cause vibration with no noise? It has approximately 100,000 miles.

2002 convertible Toyota Solara. Is it worth replacing the entire top?

Hi, I have a 2002 Solara convertible with its original top. Unfortunately someone slashed it and I have to have the main part of the top replaced. In the 2002 version, the top is in 2 parts - (1)the main top and (2)the back window + strip of cloth just below it. There's nothing wrong with the window part. No leaks or anything, despite parking the car outside for the past 5 years in San Francisco weather. It just sounds like this is a part that's prone to problems, and I'm wondering since I'm paying for the main piece, maybe it's worth the extra $500 to replace the window part as well. Does anyone have experience with leaks around the rear window or replacing the top on a 2002? Thanks!

I love the look of my 2008 Toyota Camry XLE without the body side moldings, but afraid if I don't install them I will get dings, which just makes me sick. Will the body side moldings keep my car from dings. Opinions. Just afraid that the body side moldings will detract from its appearance. Opinions
