Need help replacing my Corolla's headlights!

2003 Corolla Low-beam bulb R&R - I can't believe I'm asking about a bulb because it sounds so simple---arg, but it's not! The "owner's manual" shows a configuration that doesn't even exist in this car & looking at it closely, I know 2 things: the clips (2,very flimsy) will almost certainly snap right off & the seal between the front lens & where you're "supposed" to separate it from to get at the bulb, will be so badly damaged that it'll be prone to water getting inside if I attempt to pull this apart. It will not go back to the way it was. Not to mention all those nasty little pry marks!

I have looked but couldn't find any info, but has anyone experienced this & knows how to not wreck your front lens just for a bulb that you really need?
I have a 2008 Corolla "S" I bought in July of 2007 and once it hit about 15,000 miles the brakes started popping upon takeoff and going into reverse, all at low speed. I have taken it in to the dealer who said before looking at it they all have "floating" parts and they will all do that. They went ahead and took it apart, greased something & said that will quieten it down for awhile but it's normal & will keep doig it. We're talking its so loud the ppl in the back seat can hear it over the radio & people on the side walks make comments. No one can believe a 08 car would sound like that. It mainly happens right when you get in it in the a.m. or after work in the p.m.

This happened immediately after getting a jump start following five days in an airport parking lot with my dome light on. The radio didn't produce any sound the rest of that day. Interestingly, the next day the radio worked the first time I turned it on, but after shutting down and starting again it stopped working and has not worked since (5 days). When I start the car I hear a small 'pop' in one of the rear speakers, the radio itself lights up and the display shows the station I am tuned to, but there is no sound.

2009 Toyota Corolla purchased just 1 year ago and has just over 21,000 miles. I had to have the brakes replaced at 10,000 miles, again at 18,000 and now with just 2000 miles on the latest set of brakes, they are squealing. I don't believe the problem is my driving, have been driving for 20 years without any problems like this until this particular car. What could be causing this?

How bad is it for the car to drive in D3 on a brand new Toyota Corolla (<300 miles) at around 50-60 mph?

I recently got a Toyota Corolla LE 2 weeks ago and had to drive it back from my parents's house (about 220 miles away) when there was about 20 miles on it. I never had an opportunity to drive before and accidental drove the car at around 50-60 mph in D3. This past 1.5 weeks, I have been driving in D3 on the highway to commute to work and only noticed it tonight. As of today there is about 310 miles on it. Should I be concerned about the engine? If so, what should I do?

Hello, I have a 2008 Corolla LE about 20,000 miles. Below description is my problem with the car:

1. Start the car.
2. Put the car in Reverse gear.
3. Pull forward in low speed around 5-10mph.
4. Hear loud popping noise after applied the brake. Not sure from front/back and sometimes it pops even I didn't put in Reverse gear.

This is happening before I go to work and after I got off from work but rarely in the afternoon. When I first bought the car, this didn't happened at all. I took it to the dealer last week and they said it's normal because of the brake/cylinder/calipers shift. I am not a mechanic and I don't know what the heck they're talking about. I like my car but the popping noise is anonying. Does anyone who owns 08 corolla having this issue? If so, please let me know. Any feedback will be appreciated?

thank you!

I own a 2001 Toyota Corolla CE and recently it developed a flat tire, a big bolt had pierced through the rear tire. I got this fixed but since then i have a feeling that something is not right, the car is slightly dragging. I am somehow not have the same feel that i had before the flat tire.

I took it back to the mechanic and he said everything is OK including the tire pressure. But I still feel that something is off after the flat tire incident.

I had driven no more than half a mile on the flat fire.

What could be wrong here?

Thanks in advance.
Amol

Why does my Corolla rev high when I change gears?

my corolla is '05 and when i, let's say in the highway and it happens everywhere, change the gear from 3 to 4 or 4 to 5 and press gas pedal, the RPM just goes up like to 2800 or 2900 and then jumps back down to 2000 or 2200 or wherever it was supposed to be. and then starts inclining as it is supposed to. What do you think the cause is? is it the transmission fluid that i have to change according to the maintenance plan or it might be the clutch?

I have inquired at a dealership concerning fuel mileage, wondering if there is something wrong with the fuel tank. The answer is always the same, they cannot duplicate the problem. The car simply sounds like a 5-year-old or older car. Is this a lemon? Help!!!

Thanks
dj

2003 Toyota Corolla engine suddenly goes to high rpm in city traffic and has to be shut off.

Five-year-old Corolla LE with automatic transmission bought new in May 2003, now has only 34,000 miles, and has always been serviced and inspected on time at local Toyota dealer.

Normally driven in upstate New York climate about 2 city miles to work and back each weekday year round, with occasional errands and highway driving. No fast or hard driving or harsh conditions, such as mud, dust, etc. No accidents, and major repairs have never been done except all brake pads & rotors replaced in 12/2006 at 25,000 miles. Car seems in excellent shape.

No problems until May 12, 2008, when it was driven one block from cool garage in morning, and when brakes were applied to stop at intersection, engine suddenly roared and went to full rpm. Emergency brake plus brake pedal had to be applied to avoid accident. Engine had to be turned off and restarted several times before resuming normal rpm. Took it to Toyota dealer next day, they were stumped, since it drove normally for them. I don't know what diagnostic tests they performed, when we picked it up, they only said they "checked vehicle".

Engine acted normally for 2 months until yesterday, July 7, when it repeated problem after being driven about 1/2 city mile from hot parking lot at work, so this time car was in full 90 degree sun all day. This again occurred at busy intersection as brakes were applied to stop for traffic light.

Dealer says they will keep it for several days, test drive and perform "diagnostic tests", but don't seem to have any other ideas.

We are worried that this problem will cause an accident. If it were old, we would trade it in and we may be forced to yet, but as you can see from above, it should ideally last us for a long time.
