95 Saturn SC2 hard to start when hot.

well my 95 saturn sc2 will start when it is cold but when I turn off the car after a short ride it does not want to start. So I changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter and oxygen sensor, but it still hard to start when it is hot. Now I go for short rided turn off the car and then I have to wait aleast 30 min in order to start the car. help!!!

Will the 2008 Saturn Aura have AWD?

I have a 2003 Saturn Ion-2 with a brake lightbulb burned out. I have the new light bulb but can't figure out how to get to it. There don't seem to be any screws that attach it to the car.

Have been on your site before replaced all sensors still have p0404 code--egr and will surge -light comes on at random times. not antifreeze level-poor gas mileage sometimes tps code comes on. After transmission fulid changed it stayed off for a long time. Also defroster-rear does not work-indickator light does not cone on

We removed the engine mount and placed a jack under the oil pan, but can't seem to get the tensioner loose, we also removed the plastic planel behind the front tire to try and get to it better but that didn't help out much, not sure if the bolt is just tight or if there is something more to it.

Troubleshooting ABS on 2000 Saturn Coupe, makes ABS noise EVERY time brake is applied, brake sensor or what else?

Same noise ABS would normally make when activated, brake pads and rotors are new. The slightest touch to the brake activates the ABS.

I bought a 96 Saturn SL2 with a blown head gasket. Replaced gasket, timing chain & gears. Car runs great, but smokes bad?

Replace head gasket, valve seats, cleaned block and head. Replaced timing chain & gears. Runs terrific, but blowing white smoke. Not using coolant though. Have put over 300 miles on it since re-doing head and haven't noticed any coolant loss. Changed oil twice to clean moisture out. On acceleration looks like you are fogging for mosquitos. I was going to do a cylinder leak test. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a 2006 Saturn Ion with codes po411 & 440. Tech says air pump is bad. Is it covered under emissions warranty?

When I drive it slow it will not make the noise. Sounds like something rubbing when I go a little faster. If I turn real sharp the noise goes away temporarily until the wheels are straight again. It sounds like it is coming from the transmission. How can I tell if it is the transmission or the CV joint? If it is the transmission would I be better off to find a used transmission or try to have this one rebuilt or can I replace a output bearing myself?

Our 97 Saturn wagon has a low coolant light that keeps coming on.

we have a 97 saturn wagon with the twin cam 1.9 engine , recently we have had the low coolant light come on - we fill the overflow tank and this basicly takes care of the light . as i can't see any leaks on the driveway or road we can't figure where all the coolant is going ( evaporation? ) maybe a bad sensor?? any help would be great , Thank You in advance.

1998 Saturn -Intermittent starting

The car has started to have intermittent starting problems. When I go out in the morning, the car starts right up, just like it use to (strong turnover, quick start) . But after that 1st start, it has started acting up. When I turn the key to start it, NOTHING or perhaps a solitary click. The starter does not engage. Sometimes the instrument panel gauges, go back to blank when the key is pressed to the start position and sometimes they stay where they are and a single click is heard (No starter turnover- silence). (fortunaly with a manual transmission, I've taken to finding a sloping parking spot or simply locking the car while the engine is running (not my 1st choice due to wasted gas)). Then after a couple of hours, I can go back out and it will start up. Yesterday, I pulled the battery out and had it tested, No Problem. I should also mention that the ignition assembly was getting funky a few months ago with not wanting to let me remove the key, so I've been letting the key in the ignition. But even this seems to require jiggling the key to get it out and then using a small knife to trip a catch in the keyhole that closes a latch and lets me easily insert the key again. Its about $8-900 to replace the key assembly on the column so I'm trying to avoid it.
But this lack of a starter problem is getting to be a problem as some parking lots do not slope. Someone suggested not using the key fob, that is my test tomorrow. Any suggestions on what else to try would be apperciated before I have to spend the big bucks ($90/hr at the Saturn dealership in Alexandria). Thanks

I am very frustrated with my parent's 2005 Saturn Vue. My parents are seniors and make frequent trips out of state. The Vue's gas mileage was attractive and perfect for their lifestyle. Everything was fine for the first couple of months with the new vue.
Besides the many technical problems they have had with this vehicle, the most frustrating thing is the paint defects on the driver's side door.
Their Vue is bright yellow. (my parents are pretty hip) A black bubble appeared on the driver's side door and by the time my dad took it to the dealership the next week, a half-dollar sized peel

Recently I was in Scotland and rented a Vauxhall mini SUV that I quite liked. Vauxhall owned by GM. Any USA equal?

While driving my service light turns on. After a couple minutes the brake light comes on as well. They both stay on the whole time i am driving to my location occasionaly the break light will shut off but for the most part its on. Also it is having a hard time getting pick up when i start and stop. I have had problems with the crank shaft before could this have something to with that or would this be a problem with my brakes?

95 Saturn twincam 4 doors. Replaced radiator. Can't remember the placement of the transmission/coolant lines to radiator.

I have a 95 saturn twincam, I think its a SL. I replaced the radiator but forgot how the two transmission/coolant lines hook up back to the radiator. can someone PLEASE help. Does the left line go on the top or on the bottom? Or does it matter where they go? Thank you, MOMMAMECH

I have a 2002 Saturn Vue that has a replacement transmission and after taking it to a mechanic, he says that my transmission is bad after it's already been replaced. So months later, my truck goes dead for no reason and I had to get a jump. Well, now the dealership is saying that the jump caused some type of electrical surge that caused my computer module to fail and my mileage always reads over 300,000 miles when started, and actually only has 60,000 miles on it. I find that hard to believe when my truck has been jumped before. I'm starting to think that it has something to do with the transmission and I just need some type of confirmation before I pay them 500.00 to get this fixed. I've already spent enough money with them as it is.

Should I trade in my '02 Pontiac Montana (73k miles) for employee pricing on a GM Saturn?

My brake light keeps going on and the fluid is not leaking any place that could be seen. He tells me I need a new master cylinder. He also tells me Saturn cylinders cannot be purchased outside of the dealer. Does anybody has knowledge of a recall? I own a 2004 Saturn VUE with 89K miles.

Had broken timing chain and two bent valves. All fixed and its running porly. Only starts with gas pedel to the floor,after it starts idels nice,
When reving the rpms drop and then accelerates,then rpms drop slowly back to idle. Checked codes 23=iat i understand this one. Code 26= quad driver output fault. My book tells this but has no other ref. To this quad driver.

96 Saturn transmission replaced and 2 mounts replaced but engine is still moving when put into gear.

Takes many tries to start it, got new plugs set @ .044, new wires, new ig. coils and ignition module, I just found out that #1 wire don't have power, placed the old parts and does the same. I can guess it is the PCM or the position sensor. What do you suggest? thanx.

Ihave a Saturn 98 SL2. It has a cracked cylinder head. Is there any interest in the rest of the car for parts?

The steering on my 2005 Saturn Ion sporadically goes out. The power steering light comes on and the steering immediately goes out. I had the fuse in the fuse box checked in accordance bulletin no 05-02-32-002 with was told it was fine. I saw that there was another technical bulletin about this issue #07-02-32-007 but I can't get any information on what this bulletin entails. Do you have any information on this bulletin? Should I have the fuse replaced even though it tested as being ok?

I am in need of a maintenance manual for a 2002 Saturn L-300 S-Series . Are they still available?

My 98 Saturn is NOT equipped with cruise control yet the car will maintain whatever speed I drive at. The only way to slow it down is to brake. If I'm driving at 60km it will stay at 60 km per hr. If i brake to slow it down to say 50km then it will maintain 50km per hr. The accelerator pedal is not stuck and moves freely. It is exactly like driving with cruise control on but the car does not even have cruise control!?! When I release/back off the accelerator while driving the car just keeps going at the current speed. Very dangerous not to mention the hardship on my brakes trying to stop or slow down. Every time I start the car the rpms will rev up to about 2.5 then quickly settle back down to 1rpm. When I am parking, car in drive, rpms at 1000, I shift into Park and the rpms jump up to 2000 then quickly settle back down to 1000. Any ideas?

So I am not sure if I heard right, but is Saturn going away?

The black plastic housing snapped when I hit the post on my neighbor's fence as I was backing out of my driveway. The housing seats back in and the wires are all still connected. I have taped it together by wrapping tape around and through the mirror housing through the driver's side mirror. I would like a more permanent solution without buying and installing a new mirror ($250 at the Saturn dealer).

2007 Saturn Vue has a loud growling noise in the front brakes that only happens during the last few feet of stopping.

I have a 2007 Saturn Vue.
recently the front brakes make a loud "growling" noise when I come to a stop. the noise sounds and feels like the brakes are sticking. It only happens during the last few feet of the stop. The brakes sometimes sound like they are grabbing when I start up again and soon release.
I've tried to fix the problem myself with no luck.
I've removed the brakes and found the rotors and pads are clean and in good condition.
There is no shaking in the front end when stopping.
I've cleaned and applied brake grease to the Bracket pins.
I've cleaned the rust off the rotors and pads.
My next step is to get a rebuild kit for the brackets.

If this doesn't work what other problems Is Saturn having?
Is the Problem with the ABS or with the Calipers?

Is there a map somewhere that shows all of the Saturn dealers in the United States?

I have a 2002 Saturn SL with 63,000 miles that has a miss while idling or accelerating. The car runs well on the highway and mileage is good. I tried new plugs and wires as well as fuel injector cleaner in the tank with no change. Any ideas? Thanks

I have a Saturn 2001 L Series. I went and got my oil changed about a month ago and when I left I started having problems. Most of my dash lights don't work so it does not tell me what to check.

It started with a weird humming noise under my car and now it's not even driving. I can start my car and idle but if I try to drive it only goes 10 miles per hour and then dies shortly after I start driving it.

We hooked it up to a computer and it says that there is something wrong with my security system. I have no idea what the security system would have to do with my car dying.

I don't know what's wrong and would like some help in trying new things to fix it. Please help if you can.
