The weather has been very cold, and my horn just started to sound without touching it. I had to remove the fuse in the middle of the night just to stop it from going off. I put a new horn relay in it today, it lasted for a while and then started to go off again without touching it. What is the problem?

What is the earth ground for a 1993 SAAB 9000L Turbo?

I have a 1993 Saab 9000L Turbo. I thought the alternator was bad. Before replacing it my battery would go dead and when I turned the heater on the lights would go out. I had to drive holding the high beam bar to keep the lights on when it happened. Now after the alternater has been replaced, the dash board lights and the information buttons don't light up to give me the information. This had been happening before the alternator replacement also. I think it's a ground but I don't know what ground, where it is, or anything. What is the earth ground on the SAAB? Thank you.

I had Checked, and Cleaned the Battery Grounds, there are two grounds that run from the start of the neg to the frame, I cleaned those, and another two, one on the fenderwall, and firewall.

As for the Main ground, I Couldn't see the end, but I could feel it, and it was snug, and the area was clean, and felt like a nice solid contact.

So any other suggestions on grounds or anything else, I'm preying it's not further into the dash then what I already have apart, it's weird, the P Brake lamp engages and the speedometer fails to zero, it's rare for the system to work, but when it graces me, it works fine...might help, the window washing unit was removed, so there are two wires free, one "plug type" and another which is red that has a washer ring tip to it(which is/was a fusible link), Like I said don't know if that would help.

thank you again for your time.

Thank you for the quick response! I did check the circuit and I don't have juice to the bulb plug or in the wire before the plug, I pulled the fuses for the low beams and I do have juice. I guess I'll try to see how much of the wiring I can get at. I pulled the headlight assembly out, that was easy enough but now the fun begins.

Thanks a lot

Ron

When purchased car it had an aftermarket alarm system. Wasnt a professional install. Kept having problems with the system. So I took it out. I now have a problem with the power door locks. Drivers door wont lock or unlock by the switch. Passenger door will lock by switch but not unlock. I bought a repair manual but it does not have the power door lock diagram. I was wanting to see if anyone had a diagram for the power door lock circuit. Thanks

I am driving a KIA magentis 2002. the drivers side getts stuck underneath and won't even go half way up the window. Then it wouldn't go back and went out by the door. When it does go back into place it looks like it goes lower, i don't know if they are seperate motors or is there something else wrong. Also when I move it by hand there is little to no pressure on the wiper like the passenger side. thank you.

When I use the SEEK options the radio seems to be searching for a 'hit' but I do not get anything on AM and only a few FM stations. Same thing when I use the tuner. When I took a long trip I did not get any stations once I left my home state. The antenna has been checked and now I am told that I need a radio code to get the other stations however I do not have the manual.

1999 Honda Accord problem with the driver's side power window. At first it stopped going all the way back up. I could completely open it but it would only go back up about 3". That happened a couple of times, but now it has stopped going up at all. It's stuck completely open. The three other windows work fine though. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,Can anyone help me, I have a focus cl 1.4 on a 51 plate the problem is the drivers door does not work all the time, more often than not, but when i use the passenger door with the key it works first time, the spare key is the exact same, a strange thing is that when i am driving the car the central locking comes on itself and goes off itself at different times, the key is a basic key it doesnt have any buttons on it. when you use the key in the drivers door and turn it about a dozen times it might work once. Is there a chance that the two keys are worn, local ford garage wants £60 to look at it, thats not to fix it. Thanks Peter(first time e-mailer)

Per the 2004 cavalier temperature gauge question

I actually removed the gauge cluster from the dash. I disconnected and reconnected the main wiring connector to the gauge cluster. I noticed that each time that I would cycle the key on and off,the temperature gauge needle would advance forward to the point that it would physically touch the MPH needle and not reset to the lowest point when the key was turned off (like the fuel gauge does). I think that the temperature gauge is screwed up.Thanks for your answer. Do you know of any chevy experts that might be able to shed some light on this. What physically operates or moves the temperature needle? Can the computer board on the dash be removed without destroying it? This sounds like a trip to the dealer.Ouch! Thanks!

My 2003 PT Cruiser Touring Edition has only 35,200 miles. I experienced simultaneous failure of headlights; parking lights; tail and brake lights, dashboard lights and power door locks. There are no fog lights or heated seat. The map lights and dome light, as well as the radio and heater work.I am not sure about the cruise control. No fuses are blown.
The dealer did an electrical diagnostic, and said it is an "Open Circuit in or at location C-106 <from the electrical schematic> UNDERNEATH THE INSTRUMENT PANEL He said there are no failed electrical components. Therefore, all labor. Unless it is a component failure, my extend warranty will not cover it.

Does his diagnosis sound right?
PS. I know zero about such matters!

my 95 c220 MB passenger side window goes down, when I unlock my car door and stays down while I am driving. It will no go back up until the key is out of the iginition. I tried holding it while starting the car and it still goes down. Then it takes about 5 minutes to go back up. The switch will make it go up and down, but not while driving. When I lock the door it goes down. The lock on the passenger side is broken. Is this causing a problem? The switch does not work at all while driving. I can't leave my window down while driving or if I go out. What is going on. Do I need a special tool to take the inside door panel cover off? I need an answer soon. It's cold outside.....

my 2005 dodge g/c drivers side rear door opens about 6" then stops, the same thing happens when closing. It can still be move manualy but not with the electric motor. If you use the electric keys or buttons inside it still does not work right. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Thanks

Instrument gauges not working on a 1998 Dodge Caravan 3.3 Litre

The gauges are all in either their "zero" position or what may be considered their neutral position. The door ajar light remains on as well as the shift position light up to and including "R"everse. There was another light on. Latest news as I was trying to determine what that light was I plugged the cluster back in and everything is working. So this is apparently an intermittent problem.
