Do the wheels from the '07 Infiniti M35 fit the new '08?

In addition to lamenting the loss of both exterior and interior color choices for the Infiniti M35, I was sad to see the "chunky" chrome wheels go this year. Will they fit on the new cars? If so, any ideas of where to get them besides the dealers (whom seemed very reluctant to sell them when I asked if they were available). Any reason NOT to get them?

Manufacturers continue to make tire rims of bigger diameter. It's now common to see new cars with 18"-20" rims. The mechanical disadvantages of this trend in every day cars far outweigh their benefits. Larger rim wheels mean less rubber on the road, harsher rides, and quick wearing tires.

I had all the the chrome removed from the tire / rim area 1½ years ago. Two wheels have begun leaking again. I'm told the application process embeds the nickel and chrome into the aluminum and will continue to corrode after cleaning. Another "expert" says he puts the wheels on a lathe and mills a few millimeters off at the rim seal to get rid of the contaminated metal. He says he has milled hundreds of wheels like this and has no return of the corrosion. BUT, does this make the rim more likely to fail in some way - ie: fail to secure the tire properly or weaken the wheel?

What is the best way to cure this problem - other than replace the rims?

Purchased a used auto yesterday..it had very nice high end expensive wheels and tires were very expensive looking but worn. The car dealer agreed to detail the car and was doing so while I signed papers. My husband brought home the car for me last night after the they were done with the detail. Now I noticed the tires are almost brand new and not as deeply grooved . I wondered why the dealer would change the tires , I believe the wheels have been changed to standard wheels also. ( I am waiting for my husband to come home to confirm) I left a message for the manager to please call me but no one is returning my call.

I own a 2006 base model rear wheel drive 2006 Dodge Magnum with the 2.7 liter engine that came with 17" steel wheels and wheel covers (ugly). I have purchased brand new 18" factory wheels and tires that came off of a 2005 or 2006 Chrysler 300C. While the lug pattern is identical, when trying to mount the new wheels and tires on the Magnum, there is insufficient clearance in the front between the suspension (a curved metal piece that goes from the top of the strut to the lower control arm) and the back/inner side of the tire. It looks like I need an additional 1/2" (towards the outside of the wheel well) in order to make this fit. Is the hub or spindle different on the base Magnum and the SXT or 300C that have the stock 18" wheels/tires? Can anyone tell me if I can change/add anything to allow me to mount these beautiful 18" rims and tires?
Please help.

My older brother bought an '04 mustang gt almost a year ago and a few weeks ago signed it over to me. The rims on it are causing us to replace the tires almost monthly and the rims keep cracking every two or three months. Would the stock rims be best or are there other options? And where can i find the rims for a fair price? I am not so worried about the looks of my car as i am the quality and lasting of it. It is my only mode of transportation and I can't afford to replace the tires and rims this often. What am I supposed to do?

I recently bought an 07 Avalanche. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! One problem has occured. There have been three bolts on the right rear wheel shear off. The dealer says "over torquing" is the problem. MY problem is this is not something I caused. The vehicle was purchased this way. Has anyone out there experienced this problem? I'll be anxious to find out.

Mr. shiftright i had a 07 civic lx sedan, and I'm planning to switch into 17" wheels. which is better the Honda genuine parts with the 17" and the recommended tire size is 215/45/17, but for custom wheels like msr, boss, or konig wheels which I already inquired within. they recommended different tire and rim size that is 225/45/17. what would be the difference between the two of this. I just want to change the stock wheel of the vehicle so that it would look differently. but, I don't want the vehicle would perform differently, like affecting the speedometer readings, putting more stress on the shocks and struts as well as affecting the performance of the braking and acceleration of the vehicle. and what brand would you recommend in terms of strong and reliable rims, because I travel 60 miles a day to get to work. thanks....

Inside the wheel there is a stamp 15x7"JJ along with 12 and another character which looks like a C or G but not certain. The K 11 also appears here but not in that order. If you have any info on the JJ that would also help.

My husband has a 70" Mercury Cougar XR7 that he is in the process of making it an Eliminator clone. He wants to put 17X10" rims in the rear & I want to surprise him with them in time for our local car show. I'm not sure if he will be able to do this because of back spacing, the wheel wells, & the trunk. Does anyone have experience/knowledge on this sort of thing? I would greatly appreciate your input.
