2000 Toyota ECHO CD problem. I accidentally placed a paper garage parking ticket into the single disc factory original CD player disc slot. The player turned on and ate the paper ticket. Pushing reject did nothing. I was able to remove the paper ticket with tweezers. The CD player will not allow another disc to be inserted. Pushing reject does nothing. It seems that the player thinks there is still a cd inside preventing an other to be inserted.

I just received an "Economic Buy Back Notice" from the Toyota dealership where I bought my 2006 Toyota Camry LE. I'm interested in this but don't see what the difference is from a trade-in transaction? Did any other Toyota owners get such a notice? What's in it for the dealership?

The notice states:

"Due to the current status of our economy, the demand for pre-owned vehicles, and unprecedented incentives on new Toyota vehicles, an opportunity has been created that MAY LOWER YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENT WITH LITTLE OR NO MONEY DOWN!

Our records indicated that you currently own or lease a 2006 Toyota Camry, and right now [Toyota dealership] is i need of your vehicle!

...Take advantage of these uncertain times and let us put you in a brand new 09 Toyota today!"

I have front end noise near the wheel or steering area that started occasionally and is now constant. When you turn the wheel left and go it makes a clunk sound. When you step on the break immediately after starting out, it clunks again. It almost sounds like a ball joint starting to go. It happens sometimes going straight or right, but it always happens going left. Also there is a softer clunk when backing up and turning the steering wheel left about one full turn. It's a 2006 Toyota Avalon xl. Help!

Need help replacing my Corolla's headlights!

2003 Corolla Low-beam bulb R&R - I can't believe I'm asking about a bulb because it sounds so simple---arg, but it's not! The "owner's manual" shows a configuration that doesn't even exist in this car & looking at it closely, I know 2 things: the clips (2,very flimsy) will almost certainly snap right off & the seal between the front lens & where you're "supposed" to separate it from to get at the bulb, will be so badly damaged that it'll be prone to water getting inside if I attempt to pull this apart. It will not go back to the way it was. Not to mention all those nasty little pry marks!

I have looked but couldn't find any info, but has anyone experienced this & knows how to not wreck your front lens just for a bulb that you really need?
We've noticed the front seats in our new 2008 V6 RAV4 Sport are not very comfortable. After about 30 minutes I'm squirming to get comfortable. I'm used to the Sienna, my hubby has a MazdaSpeed3, and the seats in those cars were/are much more supportive. We've played with the seat adjustment to no avail. Any ideas?

I need to tow a Toyota Prius behind a motor home using a tow bar that will tow the Prius on all fours. The tow bar installer isn't sure a Prius can be towed on all fours.

My local Toyota service reps have been no help getting me an answer.
I've seen plenty of warnings from Toyota against towing with a Prius and even some telling how to properly tow a Prius (on two wheels). But I can't find anything that warns against towing on all fours.

A 7days old yaris w/ a 3000 down payment got totaled. Do I need to pay for the difference?

Hi! I need your advice. I bought a new car last november. After 7 days, my sister and I got into an accident. Our insurance coverage is 100/300/100 and I was under my dads insurance. I already paid the deductible and the premium balance for 6months already. The car was declared as total wreck. Now, my dad is asking me for another 2400 for the difference. Is there such thing as difference? He’s telling me that I need to pay this amount to the insurance. Actually, a lot of people is telling me that there’s something fishy going on. Im not the one who holds the policy thats why when I called the insurance they’re not entertaining my questions that much even though I’m the one who’s paying them and involved in the accident. Are they really like that? The only thing that i asked them is if I owe the insurance a certain amount (which is the difference that my dad is talking about) and they told me that I dont need to pay anything anymore. Instead I’m going to recieve a claim but my dad didn’t mention it to me. The difference that he is talking about is THE ORIGINAL VALUE of the CAR- THE DEPRECIATED/ ACTUAL/ PRESENT VALUE OF THE CAR AFTER 7DAYS. Get it? (Example the toyota yaris original value is 14000- 12000 which is the depreciated value and the evaluated value by the insurance= 2000 which is the difference) Please.. I need your advice as soon as possible. Is it true?? I dont know what to believe now. Please email me or something. Thanks so much.

Transmission was rebuilt in 2004 and this is a recent issue - we've had very cold weather and I park outside. This morning I had to wait a good 5-10 minutes after putting selector in Reverse for it to ease in. Then when I left with selector in Drive, it didn't shift out of low gear for several miles, then did so with a clunk. Once it warmed up, within another few miles it operated normally. I checked fluid cold the other day, and hot today and it's right in the range it should be on dipstick. Any advice or is it time to take it to a transmission place?

Live in the country. Radio signal is weak or no existant. Not the factory radio. Other cars in the household have better reception.

Can a catalytic converter going bad cause an engine to throw a rod?

I have a 1994 Toyota Camry 2.2L 4 cyl. with 115,000 miles on it. I got it at 60,000 and have kept the maintenance done regularly. Most of the last 55,000 miles were highway. While I was driving the car made a noise started running rough and when I stopped at a light it died. After moving it off the road, I went back later and it started but made a horrible very loud 'clack' every turn of the motor. My mechanic said that the motor needs to be replaced it threw a rod and probably did damage to the crankshaft. While researching for a used/rebuilt motor and someone to do the work, I came across one mechanic who told me (without seeing the car)that it had to be the catalytic converter and if I replaced the motor it would just blow the new one unless I replaced it as well. Can anyone tell me their thoughts on my situation and anything they think might be helpful? I would really appreciate any input. I am having the engine replaced by AEI and just want some feedback before the job is done and I pick up the car.
