Why would a '92 Chevy Beretta stall at idle but be fine when driving?

Ok... So I bought a '92 Beretta from a neighbor. When I bought it, he said it only needed a catalytic converter and a new muffler. When we got that fixed and started driving the car more, whole new problems arose. The problems started with loss of speed (rapid deceleration for no reason). We haven't noticed that in a while, but we haven't really been able to drive it far so it may have been resolved or it may still be a symptom. The most recent problem is stalling. The car idles in park, but not in gear. When coming to a stop light the car stalls probably a good 90% of the time unless I put it in neutral. We have already replaced the O2 sensor, pcv valve, fuel filter, erg valve, and the IAC is working as it should. The throttle plate isn't stuck but it does seem a little stiff (is it supposed to?) The fuel pump is fine as well. If anyone has any ideas for me it would be much appreciated. (Could it be a vacuum problem and how would I test that)?

I'm having fuel problems with my 89 Chevrolet Beretta GTU?

I recently put in a new fuel pump and new intake, it sat for a couple of months before I fixed it, but when I did... it ran for about 30-45 minutes perfectly (or when your on the highway it runs smooth), it tries to die when it sits at a red light for to long, and it starts to putt like it was running out of gas, but it wasnt, thinking air might be getting into one of those lines, I tightened down everything I could (because sometimes the bleeder valve would spit out air) and it still done the same thing, I know it's nothing to do with the fuel pump or injectors and i'm lost... If anyone could help it would be appreciated. it's a 6 cylinder Chevy Beretta.
96 Chevy Beretta 3.1 liter gas gauge flying from E to F, then service engine light comes on and it spits and sputters?

Help me please!
1996 Beretta, 3.1 liter
Have had the following repairs in the past two months: new radiator, alternator, pads, shoes, cylinders, thermostat, starter.

Got the car back and was driving 65 on the freeway. Gas was at a little over a quarter tank. All of a sudden the gas gauge "flies" to over full mark and sits there then eventually comes back down to accurate level. When it did that, the Service engine soon light starts blinking and eventually that just stayed on. I continued to drive it to my destination and the service engine soon light started blinking again, the gas gauge is still flying and all of a sudden the car starts spitting and sputtering. I stopped at a gas station, put 5 bucks gas in it and stood there listening to it. It kept stuttering and spitting just idling and when I finished driving less than 2 miles to my destination it was stuttering the whole way there. It's at my mechanic but am wondering what you all think it could be? O2 sensor, spark plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter? Thanks!

Anyone know how to rethread a sparkplug hole? 1996 Chevy Beretta.

I recently did a tune up on my mother's 1996 Chevy Beretta 2.2L that she had just bought. Upon removing the sparkplugs, the plug in the #3 cylinder was crossthreaded and the plug itself snapped in half (don't ask me how...) I managed to get the plug out but the threads are badly stripped. Now it seems I will have to remove the cylinder head to clean out metal shavings. So can anyone tell me what I need to get and how to rethread the sparkplug hole??
