Basic LT1..70K on the car, original shocks on. Leaning toward Bilstien..

HI,I have headers on my vette,I still have the original heat shields on my ignition wires.I saw wire&boot protectors that protect up to 1200 degrees they were called Koolsox.Do I need both to protect my wires from the heat of the headers?

Inside the wheel there is a stamp 15x7"JJ along with 12 and another character which looks like a C or G but not certain. The K 11 also appears here but not in that order. If you have any info on the JJ that would also help.

Why is this? The other wheels fins face back. The wheel says on the inside for the left side only. The other wheels on on right. Other vettes I have seen are the same as mine and other the wheels look right. Really confused. Thanks.

The US ve lenses were replaced with UK RHD lenses in 1999. Now the car is permanently in France. Our local (40 miles away) GM garage changed them to European spec BUT GM Europe supplied one LHD and one RHD; the garage fitted them anyway and did not notice. This showed up when the car had its routine bi-annual check. GM have replaced the lens FOC but I don't want to go back to the idiots who put in the wrong lens. I assume I can fit the replacement myself and get the alignment done by a local garage. However I don't know how to replace the lens. I would appreciate instructions.

car has been sitting in garage for a couple of years now when start car it runs fine until engine temp hits 150f and above then when i hit the gas 1/4 to 1/2 it starts to miss and backfire i already changed plugs,wires,fuel filter, refueled with fresh gas new air filter and chevron fuel injection cleaner

the smoke only comes out for 2-3 seconds upon starting the car. the oil is clean so no water in th oil. I have been told about anti-freeze in the gas line?rpm is at 6. should I be concerned? thank you

the remote is new but the drivers door clicked a bunch of times and now it only opens the passenger door now. it used to automatically open and lock the door when i walked up to the car or away from car. is there a module or something in the drivers door that went bad that needs to be fixed? also is it expensive to fix?

1989 Vette that I bought with a heater/ac unit that wouldn't respond to changing from one button to another. Replaced in dash heater/ac control unit. Now all buttons work but no heat from heater ducts, air blows, but no heat. Control changes from Auto to manual and all modes now respond, but only blows cool air. Heater hoses hot to touch. Coolant level full. A/C works and blows cold air. Is there an acctuator or some other control that is is keeping hot coolant from entering heater core? Is it possible the heater core is plugged with exterior dirt? If it was plugged internally, I'd think one heater hose would be hot and the other cooler. Ideas??

I have a 1995 convertible chevy corvette that is manual and it will start up fine and I'll be driving down the road and maybe 3-4 miles and then it sputters and dies. If I wait about 15 minutes it'll start up again no problem and then it drives fine then it dies on me and it has nothing to do with me shifting because I'm not doing that when it dies is it the fuel filter and if it is where is it located on my car and how do i replace it?

For a 1995 chevy corvette The gas is not old but I think I've purchased bad gas. We've changed the fuel filter, it's better, but not great. I've added injector cleaner and fuel cleaner early on, but it didn't seem to make any difference. While driving, usually either acceleratoring or deccelerating is when it occurs. Just driving at steady speed it's ok. The car sometimes has a bit of a backfire to it before it starts acting up. It doesn't ALWAYS stall out. If I back the gas off, it usually will iron itself out, but won't let me continue at more than a snails pace for several hundred feet. If it does stall, it usually fires right back up again.

What kind of price could I get for a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette?

my 1985 corvette is being restored and one of the last details are the tires.the rims are the original cnes that the car came with in 85.the owners manual calls for 255/50/16's but i would like to put the largest size i can without there being a saftey issue of course.what size would you suggest.

My battery was drained.
Jumped it and it runs.
All other accessories work.
Stereo, clock, and antenna won't work.
Yes, I replaced fuse, twice to be sure!
However, battery won't hold a charge.
I would think that the stereo/antenna would work
off the alternator, when running, wouldn't they?
