I have 2008 cargo 3500 Express and every time i fuel and let the nozzle seat in the natural position (dowen) the pump will click off like the tank is full, unless I hold the nozzle up in one position I will not be able to fuel.

Friend has Cargo van 2000 model with over 200,000 miles on it. It is a 2500 model and has v-6 with automatic trans. It wont start, he has fuel to the injectors but that is far as it goes. The fuel pressure is good, he used starting fluid and van starts for a couple of seconds. Is this a sensor possibly and if so which one is it. He doesn't have the money to take it to a dealer and is retired.

I want to use a Chevy Express for my business. To make it stand out, I would like to midify the body somewhat by adding larger fenders, ground skirting, etc. I can find kits for Econolines, but can't find anything for a Chevy Express.

Van stalls at low idle fine at higher rpms checked or replaced att batt fuel pump and filter. 2003 Chevy Cargo Express 2500 6.0l. No check engine light. The only thing that happens is amps drop below 14 and van stalls.

Hi there and thanks for all you do to help here, hope you can help me.

I've got a 1999 2500 Express 4.3 It starts and idles perfect. Hot or cold it will accelerate till about 15 mph and then it seems to bog way down and barely accelerate at all. If I give it 1/2 throttle it will accelerate but slowly, it's loud like intake sound, and seems to really labor, and after a few ups and downs in speed it gets real hot (240-250deg). If I let up it smooths out and cools down. But a little more pedal and it surges slightly and has no power. It can hardly keep up speed over 45mp with out 1/2 throttle.

I have a small OBD II scanner and it shoes no codes. No "check engine light" and I don't hear knocking even with the tunnel off while driving.

Only other thing that started at the same time was the air conditioning compressor started cycling in and off at about 6 seconds on and 6 sec. off.

But I can't even use the AC cause it takes bogs the engine when it kicks on, it's that weak.

I've replaced the fuel filter, air filter, cap and rotor, plug wires, and checked the plugs, they looked good with correct gap.

I thought it feels like the timing is retarding, passably due to knock sensor signal. so I put in premium gas, no help.

I'm wondering if I can temporarily disconnect the K.S. to eliminate the portability of spark retard. That would eliminate a bad EGR or Knock Sensor.

It seems to get worse every time I drive it.

Any ideas?

I've been told there is an inline fuse for the fuel pump but I can't find it. The relay checks out ok and there is voltage at the relay but there is no voltage at the fuel pump.

I got instructions for cars, but nothing for my van. Says something about making a jumper connection for the programming connector. Can't locate this programming connector. I hope the van has such a connector. Please help if possible.

It's been a progressive failure starting with the drivers door, then the passenger door, now the rear door. The side cargo door still works. I've replace the fob battery and no change. The failure occurs on and off again( fickle) until the specific door lock totally quits. The rear door is currently going through the fickle stage, while the side cargo door always works. How do i fix?

I have an 02 GMC Savana. The battery appears dead every time I crank the engine.

I have a 2002 Chevy Express 3500 8.1L When I start the van the starter stays engaged hitting the flywheel. This stops when I shift into reverse or drive. When driving down road I was hitting some bumps and the starter seemed to engage and then stop. The sound made was of trying to start your car while it is already started. A mechanic told me it's the transmission range select switch. Has anyone had this problem and does this sound like this would cause this problem. Thanks Scott

We own a '98 Chevy Express 12 passenger, with about 120,000 miles on it. Bought new tires about a year ago and have been having front end trouble ever since - vibration at highway speed, a feeling of almost 'bouncing' as brakes are applied. I've taken the van to 3 places to get an idea of what's wrong -

- dealership (not where I purchased the van) said I needed new pitman arms and idler arms and new shocks

- tire retailer (who sold me the tires) said I needed new pitman arms and idler arms...but said the shocks were fine

- independent shop said the pitman arms and idler arms were fine, the shocks were bad...and that the tires were a) out of round and b) were the wrong tires for the vehicle and the type of driving we do

Not being a car guy...I'm confused, and being a self-employed missionary, I want/need to make sure I'm making the right decision. Any help woudl be appreciated!

One of the plastic tanks on radiator has a crack.

Can a radiator shop replace the tank or should I buy a new radiator?

I checked local parts stores and am looking at $ 200 - $ 300. Looked online and can get for about $ 150 delivered. Is there any difference other than the price?

one instance i released the radiator cap and no signs of overheating there,a little pressure was noted then the temp went down and i continued home ok.today it overheated and wouldn't go down.i want to know any info before i take it in to get repaired by a garage.

I just had a starter put in and within 30 minutess it happened again. When I turn the key it just keeps clicking until I hit the brakes. If I let it sit for awhile it will start again. Otherwise I have to jump the battery. But the battery is new and so are the wires. Volts go down to nearly nothing.

My wife said before it happened one time, that the inside lights flickered a bit. I brought it to a guy who specializes in electric work but he couldn't find anything. Anyone have any ideas I would love to hear them. This is getting very tiring already. Thanks in advance.

When climbing 2000' in 2.5 miles coolant temp. rises to 235 degrees.

After climb gauge returns to 208 degrees is this normal. Could the automatic clutch fan be the problem? I have changed coolant and thermostat.

Chevy Express rear passenger seat belts. Are there aftermarket replacements? Can't afford dealer charge.

He says the warranty will not kick in because he thinks maybe my dog did it. And I just do not know for sure that he didn't.

I have a 1997 E-350 cargo van that just recently started this low moaning noise/low whine on acceleration. It sounds like a noise I hear that is similar to airflow across the extension ladder rungs/holes while driving but not. It has almost 300,000 miles and fluid changed every 50,000. I am interested in knowing the weight of the powertrain (engine, transmission, drivetrain, differential, and other related components) for the U.S.-spec baseline engine and transmission on the following vehicles -

Dodge Sprinter (3.0L Mercedes-Benz OM642 diesel V6 with 5-speed automatic)

Ford E350 (5.4L Ford Triton gasoline V8 with 4-speed automatic)

Ford Transit Connect (2.0L Ford Duratec gasoline I4 with 4-speed automatic)

I am trying to determine the weight of just the basic chassis, that is, the curb weight less the fluids and powertrain. If there's anything else I've neglected to consider, please let me know!

After a couple hours of operation when you step on gas pedal all the way to the floor and travelling at 60 mph stalls and slows down to around 40ish, then you pull over turn off the engine and resets, goes back to normal untill you step on gas again, everything is normal if kept under 65mph. Already checked turbo is fine, hoses fine,c hanged fuel filter, checked fuel pressure, changed fuel injectors, still does it.

To make it stranger the a/c compressor quit working at halfway thru workday and I could get the truck up to 72mph but no a/c, changed a/c compressor and the stalling problem came back, dealer couldnt figure it out, could be an electical problem? An ecu problem? Thanks for your answers.

I was never offered scrap value, three weeks after the deal over the phone I asked do I get scrap money. They said they would ask, called me back and said they got fifty dollars and that was theirs. What kind of negotiations is that they get theirs but I get nothing? Is that fair and I never sighed a scrap form but now they want me to rush down and sign one what you think I should do it was a 1990 GMC Safari in fair shape. I had this for several years and did enjoy it. I was able to a lot of odd jobs with that van. I do miss it any help would be great I just want what I deserve nothing more every dollar keeps me going. I'm not a wealthy man.
