How often must the oil be changed in a 4 cylinder 2005 ?

I've always had it changed every 3000 miles. This time, however, I have driven it over 4500 miles. I'm wondering if the oil must be changed so often???

2005 Malibu Classic is idling heavy when I stop. It has 73K miles on it. Any ideas?

I have a 2005 chevy malibu classic. When I stop my car idles very heavy. If I shift it into neutral it does not idle has heavy. It has 73K miles on it. It runs greats, but at stops it has problems.

Why are there 2 holes in the front bumper of my 2004 Malibu Classic?

The holes are on either side of the bumper below the headlights. I have put my hand through the holes and cannot feel any wiring. Was there supposed to be something there, like a light, or is there another purpose?

noise while driving

While driving down the road there is a loud noise coming from the front end, gets louder with speed increase. Is less noticable whne turn wheel to the right and whenturned to the left the noise is still there. Is it bearings or could it be transfer case? It's an 04 malibu classic with 101,000 miles

I once owned a 1967 Chevelle SS396. I traded it in in 1969. How can I see if this vehicle is still around and where?

In 1967 before being discharged from the Air Force I purchased a 1967 Chevelle SS396.i drove it home to Ma. and had it registered in Ma until 1969 I then traded it for a Nova.I have regretted it ever since.I would like to know if:

1. does the vehicle still exist?

2. where is it.

3. Is it for sale. How can I trace this vehicle I have the serial #, but when I put it in online for a car history report it won't take the serial # it is too short.

I have a 2005 Chevy Classic Malibu. engine was running a little hotter then normal he was checking things out like the oil and when he pulled the dipstick out from the oil there was a white substance on it he says there is water in my oil prob a blown gasket?

I recently replaced a fuel pump in my 2005 Chevy Malibu Classic and now it seems I don't get good gas mileage like I did before.

I have a 2005 Malibu Classic. The turn signals will stop working then all of a sudden start working again. The fuses are good, no loose wires that I can see, bulbs appear okay. The problem comes and goes. Any suggestions, advice, ideas?

I recently acquired a 1972 BMW R60/5. Does anyone know where I can find information on this motorcycle?

1. Even though it calls for 5W30 GM dealerships are using 10W30, is it because of the climate. We live in west texas. I have 10W30 in all my vehicles because I heard of a recall on the Castrol GTX 5W30 oil. And I prefer Castrol GTX. I called GM and they know nothing of the recall. And now I'm in the process of changing out all the vehicles to 5W30 again. Since you answered my question.

I'm confused about weights of oil, what is the difference between 5W30 and 10W30?

I had a 99 Silverado with a 6liter and put 10W30 in it according to the temperatures in the owners manual. Wouldn't it be the same on my 2007 8.1liter GMC Sierra? My 6liter had 190,000 miles on it and never burned oil.

Differential leak one month after service. GMC Sierra 1500.

2005 Sierra 1500 with 54000 miles. Taken into GMC dealer service shop about two months ago for the differential fluid drain and replace service.

Last week I noticed oil leaking from somewhere. I couldn't pinpoint the leak so during oil change the same service techs said it was the differential pinion seal.

I estimate the leak to be about 3 to 4 weeks old by the amount of oil under truck and in driveway and street. Is this something possibly caused by the service tech by over filling or not possible?

1962 Willys going through spark plugs.

I have a 1962 Willys pickup with a 6 cyl Hurricane engine. About 3 or 4 years ago I noticed that some of the spark plugs quit firing. I put new ones in and the engine ran fine then after a couple of tanks of gas some of the plugs would quit firing. Here is the weird part. If the a plug quits firing and I pull the spark plug wire off and hold it about a quarter inch from the top of the plug it will start firing fine but as soon as I touch the wire to the plug it will quit firing. Anyone got any ideas. I have put new points and condensor in about a year ago and it did not seem to help.

I want to know what Edmunds said about an 1984 Ford F-150 when it was new.

My 98 Chevy Silverado 100,000 miles suddenly didn't start. It clicked once every time we turn the key. We put a new battery in and a new starter. The starter checked out ok at the shop. We cleaned the battery terminals ran a wire from positive down to the starter no luck. What is going on?

This car was towed into me with all cover off and the water pump was changed but all cam gears are off. Looking for cam marks to line them up with the pulleys. Are the markers on the pulleys to line up with each other? Or run a few degrees from each other? High or low? Any pics would be good. Thanks.
