Brakes on 06 sebring not working right. What can be problem. Dealer say nothing wrong. Any ideas?

When I first get in car the brakes do not work right. They feel like brakes feel when you first put new ones on a car after compressing the calipers and putting the stop squeal stuff on the pads. Sometimes you have to stand on the breaks and the car barely stops. After you get them warmed up they work OK but it sometimes does it while driving. The car is under warranty and has been taken to the dealer numerous times. The dealer says that there is nothing wrong with the car. Does anyone have an idea what causes this to happen.

On the same 06 Sebring that I asked about the brakes, one of the front tires keeps going flat. The same dealer says that there is nothing wrong with the tire or the rim. It will be fine when we go to bed at night and flat the next morning. I do not think that it is someone leting the air out of the tire. It does this in all types of weather (Winter, Spring, Summer, and fall). Any ideas as to why this would keep happening if there is nothing wrong with it?

How do I adjust the emergency brake lever or cable tension on a 2000 Chrysler Sebring?

The Emergency brake did not pass safety inspection. I replaced the shoes, (the car is 4 wheel Disc with the minature pads just for the emergency brake)and adjusted the thumbwheel until the pads were just contacting the drums but it will still move at just above idle speed on level ground.

I took the console out to check for the adjuster screw, (according to the Chilton Manual), where the cable attaches to the lever but it does not exist.

There appears to be sort of clock spring that seems to be designed to maintain tension but the one end does not rest against anything it is free moving.

I had work done on my Chrysler Sebring; water pump, radiator, timing belt. Could that work affect my power steering?

I have a 1997 sebring convertible. I just had the water pump,thermostat and timing belt replaced. Also had radiator flushed. Now when I back the car up and turn the steering wheel to go forward it sticks for a few moment. It doesn't want to turn at first. Once I drive it is totally fine. Corners and all. Except if I have to back up then turn to go forward. I know sebring's are not fun to work on and the mechanic had a ball I think. I was curious if all these were close together and maybe somehow with all the work, it messed with the steering. Thanks to whoever can help me with this.........

I recently purchased a 2004 sebring convertible with 34,ooo miles. The second week i started hearing a klunking noise coming from the driver side like something's moving or bumping. I can also feel it in my steering wheel as I drive. The dealership where i purchased it has replaced ball joints, struts and I still have the same problem.Has anyone experienced the same problem?

Aftermarket cd player has no sound but powers on. Chrysler Sebring.

The display began when I had a low tire. I found that the low tire had a nail in it, and replaced the tire. The tire is properly inflated, showing 35 psi (as well as all other tires) in a cold state, but I continue to get the warning on my message display panel. The Chrysler dealer said that whoever replaced the tire damaged the sensor: yet I'm getting an updated reading as the TPMS shows increased PSI as the tire warms.

Chrysler Sebring rear license plate light fixture is missing. How do we get another and replace it?

This morning I was backing out of a parking spot. I was in reverse and I had the wheel turned to the right. While I was backing out there was a popping noise. Once I shifted into drive I turned the wheel to the left and accelerated. Once I accelerated I heard a shuttering noise near the driver side tire. I could make a turn if I was going maybe 5mph or less but nothing above that. I made it home and checked if the tire was turning with the wheel and it won't turn to the left. If I turned the wheel to the right the tire would turn to the right, but not the left. What could be the problem and the more important question, how much is it going to cost me?

Chrysler 2004 Sebring convertible brakes go to floor at times. The mechanic said wrong fluid in but I didn't.

Took to Chrysler for check up. Brakes are squishy, seems at times like there isn't any. When you stop go to floor, I lift up pedal and then it works right the second time. Well on inspection they said wrong type of fluid was put in and is eating up housing and master cylinder. I have never added brake fluid, checked always ok. Mechanic says need to replace whole brake system where fluid touched. This was like that when I bought it used in 2005. Warranty people wont cover saying I put on wrong fluid. When I first bought car told the place where I got it. But wanted to charge me 100.00 for labor to inspect, couldn't afford and just drove it. What should I due to get them to fix, is this part of recall I see here

Thanks for your reply Tony. I never owned a convertible, and have not bought a newer car for a long time. Hopefully, if I take care of it, it will last me a long time. I took it back to the dealer within the 30 days of purchase, and I do not think they were too happy with me bringing back the car for the 2nd time. The first time they had to replace the rear window, and then the weather stripping. They had the car for three days.
But I am a bit discouraged thinking I will have a lot of problems now.The reason I bought it was that it was meticulous inside and out, and had only l7,000 miles on it. However, I did pay $l2,000 for a 2003. I bought a dealer extended warranty also that was very expensive, wonder if this covers the things you mentioned.

My 2002 Chrysler Sebring radio and door locks don't work anymore. Checked all fuses and they're ok.

when you put tha key in tha igniton tha alarm key works but tha radio doesn t still all fuses are ok does it have a relay tha t controls it also my inside lights doesn t come on

How much room does the dealer have for discounting the cost of the warranty e.g. a Chrysler Service Contract? What percentage of the price quote for the warranty would be a reasonable amount to pay the dealer?

Sebring, Chrysler, 2001. Just had new tires and alinement fixed at Sears. Car is slowing down when going up hills. You press the accelorater and it doesnt help. When at an idol the RPM's are low.

Good Morning, sometimes the a/c will come out hot. At times, it will be working ok and all of a sudden the hot air comes out. Other times, when I start the engine, no chilled air at all will come out. kinda strange, could this be electical?? Could the condenser and radiator fins be plugged with dirt and debris?? car was bought new and this is the first time there has been a problem with it. it has coolant circulation,a good pressure cap,a new thermostat,all belts are tight. air conditioning blows hot air but freon says its full. i thought it was the waterpump until i noticed the radiator fans are not kicking on.

I recently replaced my Battery. The next time I drove the vehicle I noticed the Speedometer was not working nor my Mileage Gage, and the Gas gage fluctuates a quarter of a tank from where it should be (up and down). Also the center dash display that shows direction, outside temp, est miles per gallon, ect ect is not registering the correct info. It's all "stuck" where it was when the swap of batteries was made.
I've taken the car to the dealership and they tried to "reset" the "motherboard" but to no avail. It's hard not knowing how much gas you have, how fast your going, or the miles traveled. This makes it nearly impossable to calculate without atleast one. It's like driving blind. Any help or info is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Thankyou

I was driving my 1998 Sebring and all of the sudden my car went BUMP BUMP BUMP and then my front wheel fell off and behind it something was on the ground. I don't know what it is or how much it will be to fix it. It is in an impound lot right now and i want to know if it will even be worth it to pay to get it out or if the repairs are just going to be way too expensive. Also, my steering has been very stiff. Short somewhere when starting car. the first time I had it looked at the dude told me the wire to the starter looked burnt and he claimed he cleaned it and then rehooked it to the starter. I ran for awhile then it started shorting the fuse to the ignition/fuel again. The problem has gotten worse. When I took it to another person they said there was nothing wrong with it that they could find. They put a 30amp fuse in it. That could start a fire. I replaced it with a 20 amp and the car will start while it is cold but will not restart after it has warmed up. Could the wire need replaced to the starter?

Driver side and passenger side seat belts will not extend, lock up.

I checked all the fuses. Tried starting and shutting down engine.

Both seat belts lock up at the same time.

Anyone with knowledge on why and how to fix this issue? Thanks!

replaced a freeze plug, changed theromstat, new water pump and timing belt. Car will idle for over 30 minutes no problem, drove it 25 miles fine, parked in the drive way decided to look under the hood. And water started to come out of the fill cap, and started getting hot. fans are running, no water in the oil, any ideas?

My 1998 Sebring 2.5L 6 cylinder has been intermittently dying. It will restart at times and hard at others.

The check engine light does not come back on after starting so no codes are flashing. There is spark at the distributor, the fuel filter is new as is the air filter. I cant seem to get any help with this as every one is stumped.... please help!!! Oh and The charging system is ok according to it being tested also.

Since it's been cold (below 30 degrees) my 2006 Sebring has not been shifting out of first until it gets to 35 mph. It used to shift before that - I think. Car is a 4 cyl, automatic on the floor. It seems like it really revs up for a long time before the shift. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring convertible and at highway speed I can feel air where the top should close plush against the windshield.Also, I can here the wind. If i pull down and hold it tight with my hand it quiet down. Could adjusting help? Can adjusting be done by me? Where is the ajusting screw and what type of tools needed? Thanks for your help!!!

I have a 2004 chrysler sebring with 41,000 miles on it. It just started idling higher than normal. When in park idling it idles like at 1 grand and itches over that. When I go to put it in park it goes into gear hard.
The temperature today was 31 degrees but i had been driving it for hours when i stopped and noticed the idling. Today was the first time it did this. I'm wondering if this is normal because of the temperature or if I have an idling problem? Or could an idle sensor be going bad? Please help!!

I have a Chrysler Sebring 1998 LXI. I had a short in the wires that power my auto-dim rear view mirror with compass. So I pulled the wires out of the snap-in plug that snakes up my windshield and plugs into the bottom of the mirror, and I cleaned them. However, I failed to write down the order in which they need to be plugged back into the plug-in. I can't find anywhere that states what color wire goes into which slot. Would anyone be able to tell me this?
