1989 Dodge Neon. Engine Codes 12 and 44?

After replacing the starter on my son's '89 Dodge Neon (a totally fun repair - not) the car is now showing codes 12 and 44 - loss of battery connection to PCM and battery temperature sensor, respectively. We've cleared the codes but they reappear the next time the car is started. When we replaced the starter, we did so from the top - removing the fans and battery and lifting the battery box out of the way (to remove the drivers side fan). Could we have inadvertently unplugged something? Where is the battery temperature sensor anyway?

Re: 2008/9 Dodge Nitro. Where is an opening to pass wires from battery to passenger compartment?

I am a ham radio operator and want to install amateur radio gear in my 2008/9 Dodge Nitro. I have two problems: Where can I find an opening large enough to pass a pair of twisted #12 wire from the engine compartment through to the passenger compartment?

Where can I find a diagram of all the manufacturer's grounding points so I can improve the electrical bonding of all the car's metal parts (metal skin, chassis, engine block, transmission case, etc.) into one efficient "ground plane"?

Thanks!
