a little hard to shift, when on the freeway my RPMs go high and then back down, usually happens when in 4wd, Im in alaska so its pretty cold right now, Bronco has had no other problems other than one time when I got stuck fishing.....

On the freeway in 3rd and fourth gear the truck seems to jump like 2000 rpms I will press on the gass a little bit and all of a sudden rev up, noticed it seems to happen in 4wheel drive, I live in alaska and it is always really cold, truck has 91k on it, the only rough driving was one time I got stuck in the snow and had it in 4 low and powered through the nasty snow. I may have a small leak in my rear diff. Truck runs great other than that....Anytips?

My rear antilock warning light and Brake warning light came on and stayed on a few days ago. Rear wheels started to smoke and wheels where hot. Next morning, problem gone. 3 days later, same thing happened, felt like I was towing a boat with smoke pouring from wheels. Could someone suggest a cause of problem and likely remedy. Thanks

sometimes doesnt shift and i have to let off the gas and sometimes it will clunk into reverse and sometimes it wont

Okay here goes I replaced front brake pads rear shoes and wheel cylinders bleed system and now I have a problem after install parts above adjusting rear brakes and bleeding system i went to the store about 3 miles or so on the way back went to stop and I noticed brake pedal was hard not to push but just had a hard pedal then I noticed a burning smell which tured out to be rear brake shoes I pulled into drive way and the pedal sank about 2 inches before it would stop. I opened bleeders on rear wheel cylinders and fluid shot out under pressure not much but it was under pressure when I opened bleeders I could hear rear brakes release oh and I forgot to mention when pedal was hard and it sank the ABS light came on. So now after backing off adjustment of rear brakes the b pedal sinks a couple of inches (which I would expect because of adjustment) but the pressure still builds in rear cylinders and the light for ABS comes on I have bleed system 4 times and still no change any help would be great maybe you have the same problem and can save me a couple of hundred dollars in parts replacing im thinking either ABS hyd valve mounted on left frame rail or maybe a master cylinder I would say rear brake line but I dont think it would cause the ABS light to come on

Have fuel pump problems, told was possible fuel pump relay, or strainer needs replacing? already replaced the map sensor and fuel pump filter?, on fixed income caused disabled and cant afford to see mechanic. Does this model have to 2 fuel pumps(internal in tank and external near front seat driver) and if does unable to find pic (diagram) to show where located and how to replace and does it require any special tools to remove such as holding clips etc? is fixable in backyard or not?

and can front end accident near front right side axle cause the problem?

i took my 96 bronco in to aamco transmission, i know it was a mistake. for an oil leak they fixed the rear main seal i got it home and it was still leaking oil and i was also getting poor oil pressure the gauge was dropping down to low so they fixed the oil gauge and some seals on the engine now after driven it for a while it runs like crap and now the oil gauge moves back and fourth dead in the middle and its like the truck doesnt wanna go anywhere the truck was fine when i got it but leaking oil and the engine whines and it never did before they have different oil in it i forgot what kind and also an additive with the oil i know if i keep driven it i might ruin the engine please someone get back to me. thanks anyone who replies

The border patrol was using Bronco's and had issues with the frame at the cab and quarter panel bending. I am experiencing binding in my door at the quarter panel and over the past year have noticed it gets worse after being out on trails, and no it's not a door adjustment problem. What is the culprit of this problem and how do I go about fixing it.
There was an article about this in the San Diego paper about 15-17 years ago but I can't find anything about it now.

How do you take the shaft heads off a Ford Bronco distributor? Do they have a c-clip or something? Please I need help.

i have a 95 ford bronco xlt 302 had just new trans put in had a older ford 302 motor put in with low miles all was ok ran well just started to stall out when you put it into reverse idle is ok the only thing i could not hook up was the nok sensor it did not have hole in block for it on the older engine it runs great but just the stalling problem any sugestios please

87 bronco smoking from heat vents, mechanic charged for pressure test and said no flaws in heater core or hoses,but now i can smell the antifreeze and can see it dripping under carriage by passenger wheel.. car drives about 2 blocks and fills with smoke/steam..

I replaced the motor that was in my 1988 Bronco II with a 1986 2.9 V6 motor. Since then I have had to put 3 flywheels on it. The teeth on the flywheel looks as if the starter isn't engaging far enough into the flywheel. I have been getting flywheels for 1986, is there a difference in the 1986 and the 1988?

My 1988 Bronco II was running fine when the engine began to lose power almost like a plugged fuel filter or vapor lock. The filter was pretty full so I changed it and then it ran for a week (about 100 miles) then it did it again it stopped 5 minutes after starting it. I messed with it for awhile that it started running again it ran down the highway for ten minutes the it stopped again. The weather was about 70 degrees and sunny so it is not freezing up. The took off the line at the filter and there is fuel there. then I took the line off the fuel regulator there was no fuel there. The only thing I can think of is the high pressure fuel pump. It that what it acts like when it goes out?

I have a 1980 Ford Bronco and the tail lights and blinkers in the back dont work. Reverse light does. What should I check?

I have installed 2 used transmissions so far this summer and the last one was a rebuilt one from a junk yard (no warranty). I installed a new torque converter seal and had driven it for 4 days with no problems locally. I drove into town (20 miles) last night and after one stop I had the seal fail while driving. I was traveling 30 mph at the time and it gave no warning. My speeds have varied all the time I had been driving it from highway on down. I filled it with Mercron V fluid replacement fluid for high mileage vehicles from Valvoline. It showed almost full on the dipstick. My vehicle is a 93 Ford Bronco / 5.8 liter engine. Any advice would be great since I am not sure what to do.
