i have a 2000 f-350 powerstroke with a tranny issue. codes are P0567 cruise resume signal malfunction. P0568 cruise set signal malfunction. P0569 cruise coast signal malfunction. P1780 transmission control switch circuit out of range. customer advised that cruise has not worked for some time, however, just recently overdrive light came on and will not go off. transmission has no overdrive. have ran diagnostics for code P1780, switch test, open wires, shorted wires. one problem, my mitchell wiring schematic does not match the PCM pin color code. could this problem be in the PCM. subnote, after asking customer more questions, was informed of aftermarket performance chip installation. i removed chip, but no change. if there is and answer for these codes i would sure be grateful.

C

I get no voltage to the bulb housing on the driver side when the flashers are on but the turn signals seem to function fine. Could the Flasher circuit run 3 and not the 4th bulb or is it more likely I have a break somewhere? If I have a break where can I get the info on which of the 3 wires should I rerun back to the circuit box to get this to work or can I just cut into the hot lead on the Passenger side and run in to the drivers side to get the light to elum when the other one is going off?

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for your response. I checked the compression today and it was 140-150 psi and the cylinder head is a re-manufactured head. It only has about 15-20 minutes tops running on it. Do you think it could be an injector, because I am not getting any misfire codes when I run key on engine off and engine running tests. I heard the lower intake on these are plastic, and if you cancel out the cylinders, you can blow these plastic intake apart. Do you know if there is a way to cancel out each cylinder one at a time safely? Thank you! I appreciate your time and knowledge.

TJ

How do you remove a broken nipple from an inline fuel line? This is on a 93 Ford E350. Nothing seems to work.

I just acquired a 93 Ford E350 (motorhome attached) that sat for five years. It obviously needed some TLC which I've been providing. It did start up and run, but was missing, so I've replaced plugs, fuel, air filter, etc.

Today I was changing out the in-line fuel filter. The rear hose came off with no problem. The front hose is a different story.

What ended up happening is that the fuel filter nipple broke off in the front fuel hose fitting. I have been trying to use the disconnect tool to release the internals and remove the fuel filter nipple. There's a small bit to grab on to, but the combination of the disconnect tool and needle nose pliers aren't doing the job.

What's more daunting is looking at the attachment to the motor assembly, so I don't think removing the fuel line is the easiest option.

What can you suggest? Thank you for your time and input.

Smoking and stinking running Ford E-350.

We do have another question that we haven't seen here and that is, now that the fuel filter has been changed, the unit started up - but still smokes like the dickens and smells strongly of gasoline out of the exhaust. It idles very rough and will dies if the accelerator is let up on.

We've replaced the crank case filter, air filter, fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap & rotor as well as verifying clicking noises in the fuel injectors.

Given that this unit has sat for five years and we've replaced the fuel, what other areas do we need to look at?

One other quick question, the fuel fill line isn't crimped - but is leaking fuel. The only way I can see to get to it is to remove the tires. Any other suggestions?

Thanks again for your help!!!
As stated multifunction switch and flasher replaced. as well as new bulbs. Also went from stem to stern looking for wire shorts. The brake lights don't work either. Cant get tranny out of park unless I turn key to off position then try and it shifts. This just came on suddenly I ran out of things to check any help is appreciated. Only thing I added was a new stereo and I checked that to. Can the shift lockout module be the culprit? Or the brake switch is shorting out. Metered for continuity and switch checks ok. Even shorting the switch wires dont help.

Found a 2002 Ford E350 with 470,000 miles on it. Will this make a full U.S. Tour?

Basically what the title says. My band is doing a full U.S. tour. I would assume around 6,000 miles in total. Will this van hold up? The guy said it has a rebuilt tranny. It was used for as an airport shuttle. I'm not a car guy by any means, but if you can help ask important questions, then that would be helpful. Thanks!

Ford E-350 Power Stroke diesel stalling and mpg.

Hi---you answered my question on Dec 13 Re: 1995 E350 PStroke diesel that stalls like not pushing in the clutch on a standard trans(mine is an automatic OD) The reason I thought it had something to do with the transmission other than the sound and feel of the "stalling" -- is that as long as I remember to put the trans in neutral when coming to a stop is does not stall.I am going to do all that you suggested---it has been at least 15,000 miles since the fuel filter was changed. Also, could you advise me on some basic things I can do to improve the mpg---it gets between 12 and 14--pulling a trailer(8-10,000#) and empty. This E350 is a cab and chassis---short front cab, fiberglass sleeper, and very light 8' flatbed--so overall the unit is lighter than a 4dr dually . Thank you very much. JChatfield

Anyone know the weight of the powertrains for the Dodge Sprinter, Ford E350 and Ford Transit Connect?

I am interested in knowing the weight of the powertrain (engine, transmission, drivetrain, differential, and other related components) for the U.S.-spec baseline engine and transmission on the following vehicles -

Dodge Sprinter (3.0L Mercedes-Benz OM642 diesel V6 with 5-speed automatic)

Ford E350 (5.4L Ford Triton gasoline V8 with 4-speed automatic)

Ford Transit Connect (2.0L Ford Duratec gasoline I4 with 4-speed automatic)

I am trying to determine the weight of just the basic chassis, that is, the curb weight less the fluids and powertrain. If there's anything else I've neglected to consider, please let me know!

Thanks in advance, everyone!

When first starting vehicle, I can go in reverse just fine. If I go in drive then reverse it stalls, and it sputters out like if someone were driving a standard and took their foot off the clutch too soon.

I need the wiring and electrical diagrams for the power locks since these ones are not working, there is not current, I jump the power windows live wire to the power locks and they did work, but only when the ignition is on. I hope some one out there can help me.
