Fuel pump relay not working, no spark, no fuel injectors. Ford F-150.

My truck just quit. In checking for troubles, I found that the fuel pump relay does not stay closed. It pulls in for about 1-2 seconds when the key is first turned on, then it opens.

It will close and stay energized if I ground the #6 test port on the ECC, and I get gasoline pressure at the pressure test port.

I do not have spark to the plugs, but do have power (12 vdc) to the coil. I called a supply house and got the ohm specs for the coil and it is within the range they gave me.

Where do I go from here?

I have a 2000 F150 XL and most of the time the analog indicators do not come on for some time.

My 2002 F150 dash indicators, MPH, Tach, Fuel, Oil, etc analog indicators/gauges do not come on immediately when the ignition is turned on. Sometimes it takes them over an hour to activate. Seperately, the odometer does not indicate immediately all the time either, but it is collecting the miles data as it does show additional miles when it finally comes on.

Anyone have a similiar problem and have a resolution?

What should the timing be for a 1993 Ford F-150 4x4 with a 5.0 engine be set at? We've heard 10/8 btdc and 12 atdc.

Hi
Help please:
(truck has just over 93,000 miles)

3 weeks ago my husband's truck starting running rough especially after it would rain. He did all the usual pm stuff with the plugs and wires. It still did the same thing. Since then he's replaced the coil, ignition switch, found a bad wire, changed the lock cylindar (he was having problems with that before and figured better change it)and the stator. Then we found out that the starter had a bad cellunoide (have no idea if that's spelled right) so that's also been changed.

Right now we're trying to get the timing set correctly we were told that it should be 12 degrees after top dead center...that doesn't seem to be right yet. We've also heard 8 or 10 degrees btdc none of those seem right either.

One more thing though...I had to use the truck, and I really didn't notice the truck bucking when breaking. When it got up to around 49-60mph the truck would shake/buck really bad but it would be smoother above or below those speeds. I don't know it's all really strange to me, plus when you're just standing still like at a light/where ever the truck is having problems with idling - it sounds/feels like it wants to quit.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Help me please>>> I took deliver on a 2008 Ford F150, supercab 5.4 V8 4 speed auto.I notice that on the invoice it has a axle ratio of 3.31. Called the salesman and he said that was good for towing. The truck is new and doesn't have any pep. I'll be towing a TT about 3800lbs My other truck had a 3.55 axle. The truck had no tow package but the said they would put a hitch and 7 pin electric connector. I checked the towing guid book and found only one 3.31 axle and that was for a 4.2L standard shift.
PLEASE try to answer ASAP so I can talk to ford before it's too late.. Kind Regards, Joe

I noticed today that my truck is leaking a lot of water from the exhaust, so much that it looks to be leaking from the muffler as well. It hasn't rained or been in water in quite some time so we can rule that out, and it is a colorless and odorless liquid so I am assuming it is water. It only leaks when it is running, what gives?

The owner of the F-150 says the impact was hard enough to move it back 16".

While the employee does not deny hitting the truck, the severity of the impact is in question. The employee denies the impact moved the truck at all. His basis for this claim is that there are no skid marks 16" in front of where the owner of the F-150 says the vehicle originated.

I have a 1997 F-150 Ford pickup truck with 144,00 miles on it. Does it qualify for the Clunker voucher program? If it does, how come it does not appear on the Edmunds.com eligible vehicle list when similar age and size GM and Chrysler pickups do. If it does not qualify, how come?

Where does the 3/16 id hose connect to? Ford F-150.

1985 Ford F-150 5.0 EFI V8 auto/trans without carburetor.

On top of the penlum, there are some vacuum hoses that branch out.

At the bottom of these hoses is a 3/16 id hose that curves around the front of the throttle body and, ends up on the passenger side fender well. That's how long the hose is.
I've been told it goes to the power booster, charcoal cannister, and the cruise control...no,no,and no! Where does it connect to?

With the engine running, the hose sucks in air,not out.
thanks,
Neil

1985 Ford F-150 5.0 EFI V8 automatic transmission without carburetor. PVC valve?

I have a "repair manual" that came with the truck,it's just a little booklet. There's a picture in the manual that, shows the PCV valve is behind the smog or polution pump but,the Ford dealer says it's under the penlum at the rear of the intake manifold!?

I cannot see behind the penlum because,it's to close to the firewall.

How can I see it,let alone replace it?

thanks,

Neil
