I went to jump the battery of my 2003 GMC Envoy today and my buddy put the cables on the fuse box black and red bolts instead. it drained all of the power for the accessories. I read your reply to someone else with the same problem but no one around here knows what or where to buy a fusible link. All of the power for the radio, windows, locks, etc. will not work at all and all of the fuses seem to by fine both under the hood and in the back of the vehicle. thank you in advance for your help.

I have a GMC 2005 Envoy XL, which I love. It is leased until August 2009 for 48,000 miles. I now have 46,760 miles on the vehicle. I was recently involved in an accident. Sustained $9700.00 damage. The vehicle has been fixed and looks great. Outside of a couple minor tweaks, there seems to be no real problems.<br><br>My question is, do I try to renegoatiate the lease now (if it is even possible)? Do I buy it at the end of the lease term or do I bite the bullet on miles, and everything else put into it and just buy something new? This has been a wonderful family vehicle and not bad on gas. (It is a 6 cyl and gets 21 miles to the gallon.) I would really like another one!

My wife and I recently purchased a 2006 GMC Envoy XL. She told me that at an idle, at a traffic light, the amps drop.

At a light, or stop sign, our 2006 Envoy XL's amp gauge drops low, the lights dim and pulse, and the heater / blower motor drops low. We took it back to the dealer, they replaced the battery, still the same problem, a week later we took it back and the manager gave us a G.M. advisory saying it was a normal drop and ramping up of the alternator system, based on engine RPM's. Now, I have been a mechanic for 18 years, and never in my career have I heard of this crap! He said it was common in Envoys, Trailblazers, and Yukons, as well as the Avalanches. Anybody here of this before?

i just had my front differential replaced on my 03 GMC Envoy XL. got truck back &amp; then it wouldn't start. took it back to mechanic &amp; they said it was the battery. replaced the battery. truck starts now but when you turn the defrost on it stalls out. tried all other electrical in truck &amp; will still stay running. Only stalls when put defrost on. Trying to figure out what this could be. Auto store told us it's the alternator but we were told the same thing with our Dodge pick up &amp; it turned out that was the crankshaft sensor. Is this really the alternator or could there be another problem?? truck ran fine before I had front differential replaced<br><br>

I will be driving along and look down to see that I'm going 0mph on the freeway. It will stay at 0 or be about 20 mph under what I think the speed is. It doesn't do this on every driving trip, but enough that it is becoming a problem. The local dealership wants $600 to replace the instrument panel to fix the problem. Isn't this something GMC should be covering?

I had my breaks done at a well known place. After they finished the break job the breaks were very lose. They told me that it was something more than just that. I can't rememeber the exact name the mechanic use but it was near the place where the break fluid goes. This thing sits right behind the break fluid it is also round. The mechanic said that I have air in the line but that was not the case. A simple break job and now I am facing another 6 hours in this shop so they can figure out what they did wrong.Perhaps someone else is having the same problem with there 2004 GMC Envoy after they had the breaks replaced.

the trailer is a 2007 rockwood 2306 ultra lite and the 2005 Yukon XL 1500 had the towing package installed by the dealership.
2003 GMC Yukon XL , the front climate control fan doesn't blow any air, under any setting (heat/def/ etc.)except occasionally. The digital display shows that all is well, but there is no air except a faint breeze when underway. The rear HVAC system is fully functional. The front system still has cool air, so I know the compressor is still doing its job. HELP keep me away from the dealership. Truck has had 78,000 relatively trouble free miles. Thanks so much, OtisK

I have a 2007 Yukon XL and am having trouble with the front blower. I have checked the fuse and verified it to be OK. I am unable to locate the relay as it is not in the owners manual. Anyone know the location of the relay? Also would like to know if anyone has a wiring diagram they could send me for this. Thanks.

obyone,<br>If I use the hazard flashers or bother the swithch on my 99 Yukon XL, the brake lights won't work. I keep a piece of paper next to the switch to keep the brake lights working properly. Also, there are times when I try to start the engine and it turns over, but will not start. It acts like I have turned it off. If I move the hazard switch it seems to work but then it may or may not affect the brake lights. Could this be just a wire shorting out in the steering column or a problem in the main fuse box under the hood? When I apply pressure on the brake i hear a click noise also. The other day I shut the engine off and after I had the key out I heard several clicking noises and then one louder one. I havent taken it to a dealership yet, was hoping to find some input here. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks

Then the noise came right back. Its coming from the rear axle like its trying to adjust for the weight in the car then it will stop and i noticed my yukon sits 3 to 5 inchs lower then my dads yukon.

Two noises....When I put the suv in park there is a grinding noise coming from the dash board, GMC blew it off, stating that it happens but nothing wrong??? And now just recently a noticable a high pitched squeel is coming from the front area also. It does when I push on the gas, then stops when I take my foot off the gas pedal. Unfortunately, when I took the suv in for other repairs, it was raining and wasn't making the noise. Any ideas?<br>

I have a 2001 Yukon 1500 (2wd) which started having transmission problems. All was running smooth until a few days ago when I drove through some high water during a heavy rain, now the truck is going no where. I can go out and start the car and the gears engage but after about 5 minutes, you have to really get the rpms high to get the car to do anything, then finally you have nothing. You can then change the gears and it acts like it is not engaging the gear. I can stop the car and let it set for a while and it engage the gear at first, then we get back into the same thing. Any assistance would be appreciated.

My wife 2004 GMC Envoy's check engine light came on. I do not know what for. There are no obvious problems or noises. Can I read the code some how without a pricy reader. If so, how? Also is there a way to clear the code without having to disconnect the battery?

What would cause my 2004 GMC standard size Envoy rear differential to suddenly stop working?

While driving, the vehicle suddenly lurched forward and the drive-train started making an unusual noise. The drive mode indicator lights changed between modes (2Hi-A4WD-4Hi-4Lo) with no change of the selector switch and the noise continued. I drove 1/4 mile to home and with a further check can see the driveshaft turns (while in 2WD reverse) but the wheels do not turn.
