GMC Envoy radio antenna problem. Fixes?

Scanning the net: I find numerous reports of electrical problems after changing or charging the battery in late GMC models. I have a 2005 Envoy XUV. After experiencing a low battery, and after a partial re-charge, the radio WOULD PLAY, but NO DISPLAY of clock or radio panel. Finally, after a full recharge with high amp charger, display returned to 'apparent' normal. But it appears that the antenna is NOT Connected, thus very poor reception. I am told that antenna is in the windshield on these models, but not sure of this. Any way to check without removing radio? Some of the reports mention that a battery replacement often causes "re-routing" of the grounding circuit, thus numerous electrical problems. Any "re-grounding" operation possible to check or fix this problem?? Help appreciated.

Which model year engines and transmissions will fit a 98 GMC Envoy with VIN: 1gkdt13w5w2955067?

I have a 98 GMC on which the transmission overheated and caused the engine to run at excessively high RPMs, thus ruining the transmission and the engine - metal shavings on the oil drain plug. I'd like to replace the engine and tranny if economical because the rest of the vehicle is in very good condition.

Thank you.

I had my breaks done at a well known place. After they finished the break job the breaks were very lose. They told me that it was something more than just that. I can't rememeber the exact name the mechanic use but it was near the place where the break fluid goes. This thing sits right behind the break fluid it is also round. The mechanic said that I have air in the line but that was not the case. A simple break job and now I am facing another 6 hours in this shop so they can figure out what they did wrong.Perhaps someone else is having the same problem with there 2004 GMC Envoy after they had the breaks replaced.
