I'm 6'8" tall and would like to know which car has the most leg room for my really long legs?

In every car, I feel wedged in with my knees shoe horned around the steering wheel column. I feel like I'm wearing my car instead of driving it. I would like to find something with enough leg room (and that the driver's seat goes back far enough) to sit comfortably. What's best? Car? SUV? Mini van? Or like my wife suggests, should we just get a flat bed truck and bolt on a sofa that I can ride on?

2002 Chevy Silverado 3500HD transmission feels like its stuck in low gear in all forward gears, not reverse. Transmission was loose.

The transmission was loose and leaking. Fixed that now the truck feels like it's stuck in low gear in forward gears 0d 3 2 1, but it runs fine in reverse. Someone said it might be the inner filter in transmission. It was recently serviced, also a performance chip was tried but it didn't go to that motor but it did run ok after chip was removed.

This started when the transmission was discovered loose from the 4 bolts going to the bell housing. Any ideas? Check engine light also on.
Oil weight for Silverado

1. Even though it calls for 5W30 GM dealerships are using 10W30, is it because of the climate. We live in west texas. I have 10W30 in all my vehicles because I heard of a recall on the Castrol GTX 5W30 oil. And I prefer Castrol GTX. I called GM and they know nothing of the recall. And now I'm in the process of changing out all the vehicles to 5W30 again. Since you answered my question.

2003 Sierra Stalls when stopped

2003 GMC Sierra V8 4wd SLT Automatic 144000 km My truck will stall for no reason. It has done this twice at a stop light. The display read "battery not charging", but I had lots of power to turn it over. It started up again, I got to drive it for about 100 feet, then it stalled again. It did this 3 times before I could not get it to move again. It would just start and stall. There is plenty of gas going through the fuel injectors and plenty of power in the battery. It took me about 20 minutes before I killed the battery. I just replaced the alternator on it about 1 month ago as it did the same thing then. After the alternator was replaced it ran fine for a month then started again. The garage I had it towed to cannot find the problem as the truck is now running again, he used the scanner and it came up different codes each time. I had driven the truck about 20 minutes each day that it has happened. Any suggestions on what could be causing this. It has happened twice in cold weather also. I have had this truck since May 07 and never had a problem with it till now.

I replaced the fuel pump, plug wires, plugs (bosch platinum 2's), added a K&N cold air intake, replaced oxygen sensors (all 4 with bosch), tornado in the intake tube. I did all this stuff and went from 10 mpg to 12. i dont understand what the problem is. i heard the factory throttle bodies are junk, and that i should get a 2 barrel tbi. im not sure if a tbi spacer will help me much, since i have a tornado which swirls the air already. my service engine light turns on when i drive the highways, the code is a tranny slip code. im possitive that if it is slipping it definately isnt much. when i power break it, it bogs the motor down pretty good, until the tires slip. although when im on the highway doing about 68 mph, im at 1800 rpm. my truck seems like it is just running too rich at low rpm. it hesitates from idle to rev. thanks for reading, please help.. thanks

the problem im having with it, is that it is that the 4l60E is a piece of junk tranny. i have a tranny slip code coming up, only when i drive it on the highway, i heard that the 3rd clutch is burnt up, by another member on here. everybody i talk to say that tranny along with the 700r are junk too. what is your opinion? is the 4l80E better, and why. maybe if i put a mild shift kit in my 4L60E when i get it rebuilt that would be better. im gettin like 12 mpg on the highway runnin about 1800 rpm doin 65. maybe i just dont understand that with a 5.7 thats all the better im gonna get. but there has to be a way to get at least 16-17, maybe i have to gear it differently thanks alot for your response

matt

I own an 04 Sierra Denali. Should I trade for an 08? Will somebody help me please. 28000 miles.

We love our 04 Sierra Denali AWD with Quadrasteer. Lease is up in May. Can't decide whether to buy it or lease an 08. We love the quadrasteer, the roof lights and side lights, siderail step, body style, handling. My wife considers it the most beautiful truck she's ever seen. I am drawn to the 08 for the bigger engine and 6 speed trans, and all black interior. We are not interested in sunroof, DVD, satellite radio or GPS. We ARE interested in quality, dependability. Since 04 was last year to have quadrasteer, will it only increase in value, say as a "classic?" We only have 28,000 miles on it and other than an unexpected complete brake job last month, it has been problem free. We just can't decide whether to stay "new", by leasing an 08, or to "risk it" by keeping what we love, in spite of it getting older. We have heard pros and cons from the dealer, but have not talked to anyone who actually owned one. In our area there aren't any. We had to have the dealer get ours which was 300 miles away. We never have owned an exotic vehicle before this one. We are afraid that the quadrasteer might go out on it in the future, but so far it operates like a new one. What would you do? please help.

One of the u joints was stuck and replaced but still getting the vibrato from 35 mph to 70 and up.
Mucho Gracious.

My 03 GMC Sierra 4x4 at 60,000 miles makes a clunking noise in steering/front end at slow speeds on bumpy roads, especially when turning. Ball joints, shocks, etc. seem to be in good shape. Others have suggested intermediate steering shaft could be the problem? Suggested lubing U-joints in shaft? How do you do this with no grease fittings?

Can you please email me the sizes of all the speakers that came in a 2002 GMC sierra extended cab p/u. It's a sports side if that matters (step side) it is all power, 9 way power seats, heated seats, leather interior including seats, on-star, bucket seats with fold down arms. If you have any questions, please email me as it is the best way of contact. Thank you, Carl

The truck is a 2008 Sierra 1500 WT. The truck has electruc locks. Here is what I can find in print. If the truck is equiped with RPO code AU3 (power door locks) then it will have keyless entry and come with 2 FOBs, but if another option 5B5 (power lock, power windows and power mirrors then the keyless entry becomes an option AU0. Okay I can't really say that all of that makes any sense but all the same thats what I am able to find out so far. I quess my real question....is the wiring for the receiver for the keyless entry installed. If so it seems that one could buy the receiver and the FOBs install same and factory keyless entry. It is my understanding that the receiver or wiring for it will be in the rear overhead above the back glass. Thanks for any and all help.

J
1995 GMC Sierra 2500 6.5L turbo diesel 200,000 km. Starts easily from cold but refuses to restart when hot.

Truck starts well from cold but now I dare not stop the engine once I am running and the engine is hot. It will not restart. The batteries evenually die. If I recharge the batteries and let the engine go cold it will restart easily. Both fuel pumps and starter motor were changed about 15,000km ago. The air and fuel filters are new. The injectors are OK according to my mechanic. Both batteries and alternator were replaces in the last year. When we crank over the HOT engine there is fuel at the filter. I don't know if there is fuel at the injectors. There is no grey smoke from the exhaust when we crank the hot engine. We bought the truck 4 years ago. We found it always acted up in summer but up till now "three cranks" would restart a hot engine. Now this summer it just cranks away until the batteries are flat.
