Whistling/howling noise in Infiniti G35 M6 when temperature below 32F

I have a 2005 G35 sedan M6.When the temperature is below freezing the car makes very loud whistling/howling noise.I hear it coming from the ceiling but dealer insisted otherwise. They change my transmision , clutch , drive shaft and differential seal. It took them 3 winters to research the problem and after all that they claim the noise is normal in a car with manual transmision.I think they are full of s.. and just don't wan't to admit the car is a lemon. With infinity service I get to drive another G35 every time they take mine.I drove at least 8 diff. ones no noise.I'm just curious if anybody has that problem. It has to be cold. The lower the temp. the longer the noise lasts.Usualy 1-7 minutesand when the car warms up it goes away.I live in Montreal Canada so cold weather is a factor for me.I can't stand that noise. It's sounds like wind in a chimney.I will try to sue Nissan. Thanks for the answers

I've noticed in my '07 G35X a slight, and momentary "hesitant" feeling when I turn the steering wheel within the first few minutes just after starting the car. This sensation occurs only once and not every time. After that the steering seems to be completely normal. Anyone having the same experience?

My wife has a 06' G35 sedan that has Michelin tires 215/55 17 on it, but I'd like to improve the look and beef up the size on the pavement. I'm not sure if the 255/55 17 will fit and will they provide good all-weather performance. I know the price can range from $120 - $240, so what's the best bang for the buck?

Why do everytime I hit a bump on my G35 the whole left audio sides goes completely low. The only way for it to come back to normal sound is when I hit another bump. And I don't think the wires are loose because if it was, it would go completely off but yet it sounds like its muffled only on the whole left side. If you guys can help me out I appreciate it.

I have a 2004 G35 with peeling paint off the roof. It has come on all of sudden over the past few weeks. The car is only hand washed and never parked under trees that would cause sap to damage the paint surface. What can I do? Will Infiniti fix this if the car is 10 months out of warranty?

About 3 months ago my paint and clear coating started peeling off my roof - no where else. It's as though a branch made of metal shards was scraped across it. The car is never parked under trees and it's washed almost weekly by hand. Infinity customer service says the car is out of warranty so tough luck for me. Is there anything I can do to get them to fix this?

Sorry its an Infiniti. I went in and honestly told them that 35,000.00 is all I possibly could afford to finance. I read on hear of tricks played by the dealer. I will keep my present car in line until I pick up the car. Do you think the pice is fair? What are the tricks I should look for. I did not finalize this yet though did make a small downpayment.

Good day this is Darrin again,i really appreciate the answer on the cat-back exhaust systems,my state FL does not have smog testing. So my next question is:I've used Random Tech Hi-flo cats for my 1985 pontiac firebird and it seems to hold up very well.I still have approx.40,000mi on my power-train warranty w/Infinti should I look into replacing the cats after 70,000 miles. With the Random Tech, cats they seem to have a very good reputation w/the after-market industry. And would a cat-back exhaust system for now hurt?? to have on my infiniti G35 sedan, thanks alot Darrin p.s:would it be better to include headers w/the cat-back exhaust system and hi-flo cats like the Random Tech, for this car to improve HP

In general is it more thrifty to buy or lease an Infinity G35 when need to drive 30K miles per year?

I'm leasing a 2008 fully loaded G35 for two years and 60K miles. I couldn't figure out whether it was better to lease the vehicle or buy it at 1.9% financing for 5 years given that at the end of five years I'd have around 150K miles on it. The dealer convinced me to lease it because at the end of two years I can get a new car (lease) rather than at the end of five years being stuck with an "old" car with lots of miles on it so I leased it for around $800/mo. But now I'm thinking that if the car is a good one after 5 years and 150K miles it should still be good for at lease another 100k miles or more.. and the car will be paid off and I can lower the insurance coverage and save money that way. So if I change my mind on the lease will it be worth it to just pay it off and purchase the vehicle after the lease expires?.. or better to turn around and just let it go and buy something else? Thanks.

I have about 53,500 miles on my car - have had no major problems with it. My factory warranty ended last week. I got a notice in the mail from Automotive warranty advisors (out of Pompano, FL) advising me to call for a quote. When I called they offered a 100,000 mile extended warranty for $3,150, payable in full or over 18 months with $300 down and $157.50 per month payments. It allows taking the car to a dealer or a machanic of my choice (as long as the machanic is certified), zero deductible, transferable.

Hi all, I am sorry to post what might seem a trivial message but was hoping someone can give me some feedback. I am looking to purchase a pre-owned automobile and my budget is about 11g dollars. I have not been looking at cars in this class until a friend of a friend told me they had a 2004 G35 for sale for sale for $12,000. When I inquired I found that the car has 71,000 miles on it. It has all the bells and whistles. I have been told the oil was changed every 3,500 miles but they do not have the records. Assuming that the oil was changed regularly and I am going to decide this by the sellers reputation how many miles can one expect to get from an Infiniti G35? I am hoping to get a car that will at least last 100k miles more and am afraid I am pushing it here. However the car is VERY nice! Its this or a Sentra! Should the mileage discourage me? Thanks.

Does your Infiniti G35 coupe push mildewy and moldy air? Dealer says it's a design flaw with no fix! It's making me ill.

I bought the car 11/07. Since the summer of 'o8, when I first needed AC, the vents pushed out a mildewy smell every time I started the car that was overwhelming. I'm sure I was inhaling mold. The dealer only ionized the filters. I went back in Sept. '08 and they ionized and replaced the filters. And, they admitted it was a design flaw. Coincidentally -- or not -- I have had a fairly chronic congestion condition -- one I've never had before. It's now 12/08 and after two roundtrip drives of more than 2 hours each way, I am really feeling the tightness when breathing. I'm going back to the dealer this week. Do you have any suggestions about what the next step should be?

Say a dealership sells me a car, I've had it a month, my loan never got approved. Do I have any obligation to pay?:

I took delivery of an 04 G35 on 11/25/08. Deferred my payment for 45 days so my first payment was due 1/10/09. So its now 1/08/09 and I still haven't received a statement from Wachovia who is the bank the dealership used to get me financed. So I call Wachovia today to ask about why I haven't received a statement and they tell me they don't even have a loan out for my name or my SS number. And it states on my loan agreement that Wachovia was used. So technically I have no financial obligation at the moment. So my real question is shouldn't I be able to just drop the car back off at the dealership and walk away scott free ?

Letter "T" listed next to the available options for an automobile while you're trying to find out the price for a car. It says typically included, does this mean its included in the price that shows on the right or this is something extra that most dealers charge for additional option?

Infiniti G35 2004. Why doesn't the outside temp thermometer work in the desert?

we live in the desert - the outside temp does not work in hot weather - Infiniti says it
is not made to work in hot weather - not a satisfactory answer. Sometime if will register
over 90 but most of the time it is 20 degrees or more off. dealer says there is nothing to do about
it.

The car runs fine, no other symptoms to note. The car runs very well. Kind of like a whining/grinding noise when starting in cold weather. It doesn't seem to affect the performance at all.
