How do you get rid of cigarette smoke smell in a car? One of our company cars is a 2004 Jeep Liberty. The driver was a heavy chain smoker and the cloth interior completely reeks of cigarette smoke, and now we need to sell it. Does anyone know how to minimize the smoke smell before sending off to auction or selling privately?

How do you remove brake rotors on a Jeep Liberty?

Rear brakes on 2005 Liberty 2WD - I have an 05 Liberty with 40K on it. Has anyone had any problems getting the rear rotors off? I know the parking brake mechanism is on the inside of the rotor. I'm thinking that is rusted which is causing my issues removing the rotor. What is going on with these brakes? At 40K the rear pads were smoked already and the rotors need turned/replaced?!?! I started getting a nice grind from the passenger rear and I found a nice groove that was starting on the rotor from the pad. Any ideas on how I can get the rotor off?
02 Jeep Liberty After new master cylinder no presure on pedal when bleeding brakes. Help!

I have an 02 Jeep Liberty without ABS. I recently flushed my brake system because my brake fluid looked like Jack Daniels. When I was done I had no brake pedal pressure so I figured with the brake fluid looking so bad I might have desturbed the main seal in the master cylinder so I replaced the master cylinder. I bench blead, properly torqued the master cylinder to 18 Ft Lbs. I bought a phoenix injector so I used RFI (Reverse Fluid Injection) to bleed the system. Now it will hold pressure when pumped and as soon as I let off after pumping the brake pedal it falls to the floor. I pulled the new master cylinder again and there are no external leaks into the booster. There is no adjustment that I can find for the brake pedal going to the booster or on the other side going to the master cylinder. I used proper DOT 3 brake fluid, there are no external leaks anywhere along the lines or at any of the wheel cylinders, I started bleeding at the Right Rear, then left rear then right front and then left front like OEM calls for. I asked jeep and there is no button to be pushed or pulled on the combination valve. I'm lost. Help!

Why did my 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD lose power and won't go over 3000 rpm.

2006 jeep liberty crd with 42000 miles while driving on the highway lost power. I was driving on the highway when it felt like I was driving with the brakes draging. Can get the Jeep up to 75 mph but going up any type of grade slowes the truck dramatically. When the Jeep is in neutral the rpms won't go over 3000, even when the throttle is put to the floor. I can still hear the turbo whine but it dosen't seem to be as pronounced as it was before the problem.

let the jeep sit and cool off for 2 hours then went out to take it for a test drive and everything seemed fine but it was just a short run. wondering if anyone has had any similar problems.
2008 Jeep Liberty with aftermarket sunroof - mistake?

I just bought a 2008 jeep liberty sport. The dealer did not have a model in stock with a sunroof so they offered to install a sunroof. They assured me that it was the same as the factory installed version so I agreed. Initially they wanted to charge me $1,500 but the factory option was only $850 so they came down on the price. After picking up the car yesterday I discovered that they instaled an aftermarket version, a Webasto, and not the factory version. I am not comfortable with this at all. At no time did they tell me that the sunroof is an aftermarket product and not the factory installed version. Do I have any recourse on this issue? The dealer has a 72 hour exchange policy that expires 9/23/08. Thanks.

My son was driving on the highway and his Jeep Liberty 2002 3.7l just quit. No warning lights or anything. We towed it to a mechanic and they thought it was the starter!! Replaced the starter and nothing happened. They tell me now the motor is froze up! Has this happened to anyone else and how much did it cost to fix it?

I just bought a 2002 Jeep Liberty. When I test drove it around the neighborhood, it was fine. But as I started driving it on the highway, when speeding more than 30 miles per hour, I noticed when I apply my foot on the brake, it vibrates and the wheel also vibrates quite a bit. What do you think might be the problem?

I have replaced, the master cylinder, (bench bled it too) all four calipers, and shoes, and then I bled the system. One man in the car and the other outside on the valves. We bled the lines starting from the passenger side back, driver's side back, passenger side front, and driver's side front.

And we bled this thing 5 times. And still the pedal goes to ground.

I am running out of parts to replace.

How do I bleed the abs system? Do I need the drb scan tool? Will any scan tool open the ABS pump?

If I bleed the system with the car running will fluid flow into the abs pump?

I do not observe any leaks anywhere. And i keep fluid in the master cylinder reservoir through out the process.

I am so stumped. Brakes are so important on vehicle. I am thinking about getting a boulder and tie a rope to it and tossing it out the back to stop the truck.

2005 Jeep Liberty Sport diesel

Thanks
