Where do you check the transmission level on a Jeep Wrangler?

My boyfriend wants to check the transmission and the diffy (?) level on his 1993 Jeep Wrangler. He says it's a 2.5L 5-speed. Also where is the filler hole? Thanks. :-)

1995 Jeep Wrangler with automatic transmission sticks in second gear. To get to third gear, I have to shift to neutral, let the rpms drop, and shift back into drive. At this point, the transmission will shift into third. Why does it do this?

I took my new (to me) 2002 jeep wrangler on it's 1st trip where there were some pretty steep hilly highways and noticed that with the pedal to the floor sometimes it would not go over 55. Granted it is only a 4 cyl., the mechanic at the dealership informed that it was due to the oversized tires and 4:11 gear ratio that it has. Does this sound right?

I measure 55-60 degree air coming out of my A/C measured with a thermometer inserted into a dash vent. I took it to the dealer who says he measured 37 degrees and said there is no problem. Do other Wrangler's get colder than mine? I also have a 2002 Grand Cherokee which has a great A/C.

lifting the engine i forgot to remove one of the bolts from the bracket that goes to the frame. The three bolts that screw onto the block snapped. Now I have a block with no thread to screw bolts on. Can that those be welded? or i need a new block?

I own a 1999 Jeep TJ Wrangler Sport with a 8" suspension lift. I have Mickey Thompson Classic II 12.50x15 wheels. I need to purchase new tires and want to know what the largest tire I can have installed without having to modify anything. I had a 3" body lift on it and had 39.5x13.50x15 IROK Super Swampers and liked the look with the balloon effect. I would like a tire that is road,dirt,mud,rain,and snow friendly without a lot of road noise.

engine has 115 miles...changed plugs,wires,coil,cap,rotor,fuel/air filt & exaust system...still no power...will rev and idle ok...seems to be ok at when taking off at slow speeds...once you push down the gas pedal past half way, starts bogging out...will get up to 45 but breaks up.

There is oil in my coolant and I have the valve cover off, A/C removed and power steering pump unhooked. All the head bolts are out but I cannot get the darn bolts off of the Exhaust/Intake manifold. Know any tricks to reach them? Thanks.

Cut off exhaust? Mess up back preasure? Jeep Wrangler.

I am wondering if I could cut off the exhaust on the flange after the cat and befor the muffaler without altering back preassure or destroying the motor.

I own a 2007 Jeep Wrangler less then 30k miles and the rear brakes are bad. The dealer has said they are known for the rear brake problems. Why would the rear brakes go out first? When the Jeep was new we had a squealing noise while the Jeep was moving that could not be answered. The dealer decided it was glazing on the pads so they deglazed them. Would this shorten the life of my brakes? It did not end the squealing noise at the time.

Will the 5 speed transmission from a 90 Jeep Wrangler fit my 95 Wrangler?

I have an '87 Jeep Wrangler. The front brakes don't work properly. After driving a few miles they begin to stick.

I've changed the calipers, master cylinder, proportioner valve, and rubber hoses. The system has been bled several times. When the brakes stick I simply back off the bleeder and the wheel turns free again. Yet after a few miles they stick.

Is there something I'm overlooking? Please help.

I have a 98 Jeep Wrangler. The engine misses until you reach 3000 rpm. I changed the coil plugs and wire.

The misfire only happens after you drive about 6 to 8 miles. Took it to a dealer and they said there were no codes even though it was misfiring while they drove it.

The problem seem to be getting worse with warmer weather.

I have a Jeep Wrangler X. Can it pull a Casita trailer (3500#)? Manual says I'm limited to 1000# with this vehcle. True?

My 98 Jeep Wrangler has a cracked piston, and two separate shops say the engine needs to be replaced. It also needs tires and brakes. I bought the car used, and still owe about $5K on the loan. Current mileage is about 106K. Estimated cost for the engine alone runs between $2400 - $3600. Would it be better to trade it in on a new car, or fix it and keep it for another couple of years? My concern with trading it in is that I'll automatically owe more on a new car than it's worth because I don't have the cash to pay of my existing loan.

Any advice?

Jeep 97 Wrangler started to lose pressure. Brought to shop, they said it was a bad fuel pump, we changed it, It ran for about an hour then it quit again. Suggested that it needed a complete fuel pump assembly, we installed, once again it ran for about an hour then quit. I am out of ideas an options. PLEASE GIVE MUCH NEEDED ADVICE.

Thank you for your quick response. The fuel pump relay checked good And the fuel pump reg in housing is good. The power all the way to the fuel pump checks good. And it is a brand new pickup housing and pump.

Let's see I just put a new yellow-top in it. I also had a new oxygen sensor put in. She was running fine and the lights were left on and the old battery died. After which she starts but only stays on when getting gas. I can get her to move only if I slip her into drive only if I do it fast while stepping on the gas. I need help because I can't afford to take her in to get fixed and I need her to run. She is all I have.

1997 jeep 4.0 wrangler is hard starting hot. I am changing wires, plugs, dist. cap and rotor and wanted to check the timing if it can be done with just a timing light. Manual does not tell timing setting.
