I have removed the tire, caliper assy, and brake rotor. I have a set of metric sockets from an auto repair store. I am unable to get the nut to move at all. It is not rusted, and the treads do not appear to be damaged. I don't see a locking washer or anything like that.
Is the nut just torqued that hard, or is there someother thing I need to remove.

How can I retrieve codes from a 19994 Buick Lesabre? Can I use a jumper? Connector looks OBDII , but is OBDI

Help, I have a problem with my 1994 Buick Lesabre. The check engine soon light comes on intermittently and I feel an occasional miss in the engine.
I tried an OBDII scanner in the OBDII type connector, but found it would not work and the sticker under the hood says OBDI. Can I pull the codes with a jumper and check engine light flashes? If so, which pins do I jumper in the OBDII type connector? I don't want to blow the ECM.

How long is a Buick Century and can it be stored in a 10x15' storage unit?

We just bought this car and it runs great but all of the sudden the driver door power lock button quit working unless the car is running. The passenger door one works fine all the time.

Also, does anyone know what all lights are supposed to light up when you open the doors?

after replacing a weak battery everything works on the car except the fuel gauge. the needle lays way under the empty line and never moves even when starting the car. tha tank is full of fuel.

I have had it into two different dealers, who have not acknowledged any issues with it. I drive 80 miles a day and definitely feel like something is not right. Any ideas? I might have confused the issue at the dealers by reporting it must be something with the engine or transmission. (both of which apparently check out OK)

My local Discount Warehouse store says they cannot only order one tire because I have AWD and if I replace one tire it could cause damage to my car. Nobody I have talked to agrees with that. Does anybody know if that is true?

2004 Buick Rainier--- the electrical sensor that monitors the speed I am going is inaccurate at times and will also get stuck in a particular speed rate and completely freeze up, sometimes I will lightly tap on the panel to help reset, sometimes this works and other times it will not. I consulted with the locate Buick dealership and was informed that I need a new replacement part, which is $500 bucks. I was told the whole panel will have to be removed to replace the defective part.{which is only defective on and off) How else can I repair this? New fuses, new batteries, wiring problems, could condensation and change of temperture cause the sensor to freeze up and not always work correctly????

I have looked high and low for the p.s. reservoir. I think the manual that i got with the car is for another buick model. i don't know much about cars but, I can find all the other fluid reservoirs and dip sticks. It's like someone forgot to put one on this engine. I think I know why GM technicians are trained on this particular engine..... Can anyone enliighten me as to the location of this reservoir?

I have a 1999 Buick Century Limited with 1 year old MICHELIN tires size P205/70 R15 95S. This car will be a trade-in next week. My question is this, I have a Chev. S-!0 Pickup Truck which is in need of tires. The tire size on the Chevy is P205/75 R15 97S. Can these tires be swapped. Is it safe? I had a friend say that if I put the truck tires on the Buick, you might have a steering problem. I don't want that. Also, to breakdown the tires and remount may run $20.00 to $25.00 a tire. Is it worth it?

I need to remove the factory radio from our 2003 Buick Rendezvous. Hopefully to remove misplaced pennies. I also have noticed that a couple of the steering wheel radio control buttons are no longer illuminated.

Can "bottoming out" once or twice cause major damage to the power steering and the tie rods? Buick Regal.

This question refers to a 1997 Buick Regal with approx. 145,000 miles on the odometer. The car may have bottomed out once or twice however, no more than twice. Would this cause enough damage to require the tie rods and power steering to be replaced immediately? Damage was discovered after a 3000 mile road trip. Car was checked over after receiving minor cosmetic repairs and came back with a clean bill of health before the trip. Please feel free to ask questions for further information.

The car was taken to the mech for an oil change and the lights on the dashboard where you shift gears were out. he said the bushings were gone on the front end and had to be replaced. A friend of hers said 'no way". My mother is 79 years old and drives like an old lady. Is this possible?

The problem occurs only at low speeds like at 5-15 mph. If I am braking I can hear a noise from the engine compartment (Grrrrrr) and can feel the pedal pulsing. This same noise can occur when I am not braking but during or just following a low speed turn such as in a parking garage. The sound lasts for about 3-4 seconds. Twice now after hearing this sound the ABS light has come on and stayed on until I shut off the engine and restart it. It does not ever happen at higher speeds. Front pads look like they have plenty of life left in them. Did not check the back drums yet. Car has 170,000 miles on it. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this. It doesn't happen each time I brake or turn at low speeds, maybe 20-30% of the time.

When I turn my 2002 Buick Rendezvous left or right it makes a low rubbing, almost moaning sound.

You can hear the sound in the front and back. Sounds horrible. Mostly notice it when I'm turning into a parking space or at low speeds.

I have 2000 Le Sabre 3.8 . Looks and runs great except
for both lower control arm bushings, which are worn and
making noise . For some reason neither G.M. nor the after market
can supply these bushings ...only complete assembly at $600
per side .
Has anyone else run into this and found replacement bushings
from another application to fix this problem???

the moan and groan is pretty loud at 2100 rpm, and when you hit very small bumps it sound like a tight drum. any ans. to the problems.

abs & brake light comes on sometimes, stays on till you shut car off, next day you can drive for hours before they come on, only thing on car that was changed before lights start coming on was the rear brake cylinders, when lights come on brakes work fine

Does it harm your transmission to coast in gear, i.e. while going downhill?

I've had two shops check the motor mounts and they are fine. Just for GP I replaced the right upper one. The car on take off if I give it too much gas it sometimes sounds like the whole front end is going to jump out of the car. After take off it runs and shifts fine. Could it possibly be one of the sensors on the optional traction control which it has? The car has less than 70,000 miles on it.

I was told that if you start out with synthetic you should use synthetic from here on out.
If I were to go with regular oil, what is a good brand to go with ? Also, if I went with synthetic, what is a good brand ?

My gear shift is on the steering wheel not located in the console area..
Is this a part of the fuse box. We are going to try to eliminate labor cost and install ourselves then take to dealer to have programmed. But I am not even sure of the location!!!
