What is the towing capacity of the 1991 Cadillac Fleetwood with 4.8 V8, FWD?

I am considering purchasing a 1991 Cadillac Fleetwood, but I need to tow a boat (up to 3,500lbs). Some online research shows the towing capacity at 2000lbs up to 7,000lbs. The owner doesn't know the capacity, however the car does have the original transmission oil cooler installed.

Does anyone know EXACTLY how to do this?

Mainly - I think the dash trim piece, a U shaped piece around both sides and bottom has to be removed. I've got the 8 torx screws out of the glove box, and it still holds at the bottom.

Is this dash piece a push on/pull off piece? If so, it must take a lot of pulling, because I've pulled some and it doesn't budge. Do I just need to pry it off or pull with great force?

94 Cadillac DeVille. Throttle back to idle is slow. Replaced throttle position sensor, engine ECM, throttle control motor.

When letting off gas pedal at any speed engine RPM very slow in throttleing back to idle speed. Observing throttle position motor it pulses back slowley instead of quick. When you come to a complete stop you can hear the engine drop back quickley to a idle. Den.....

2004 Cadillac CTS. Can see water dripping from above transmission. Don't know source. Engine light is on.

I had a broken (burned) copper line inside my headlight switch, so I replaced it with another switch and I'am still having the same problem - lights come on during the day time only when I put car in gear and not at night with dash reading headlights suggested. Headlights not working when I turn them on using switch.

the tuneup and converter were done at the same time. muffler shop said i needed tune up because it sounded like a skip or miss in motor, tuneup shop said i needed converter because backpressure was about 10,that is high i guess. just want to get back on the road, any suggestions and thanks for responding.

All components were replaced or checked. That is why he thought it was the converter, checked backpressure. 10

the backpressure was the big concern. where is it coming from. it seems something is not letting it exaust. can something in the engine create backpressure on itself?

Squeaky Brakes on my Cadillac Catera

I just changed the back brakes on my 97 Catera. They squeak really bad. Can somebody tell me if the brakes have any clips that help reduce the noise? The brakes squeaked really bad with the prevous brakes as well. I'm thinking maybe whoever replaced the brakes before me didn't install these clips.

I try to control the presets by the button on the steering wheel and many times it skips #1 and/or #2. I also find that it has started to spike in amplitude without reason. The windows are closed and noice is minimum.

I leased a Cadillac years ago. I filed bankruptcy and have been in the process for two years rebuilding my credit and increasing my credit score. I just found out that leasing is easy, but returning your vehicle at lease end is not. I was told so many things that I have become terrified at the prospect of returning the vehicle as I have no other vehicle except the leased one I,m driving now and the things folks have been telling me that will happen to me is mind blowing. i replaced the surge tank,thermostat, and radiator and i still overheat.
probobly a head gasket problem but i'm going off educated guesses from mechanic. could it be water pump or heater core? my heat stopped working after all these repairs and now i can only get a few miles before it overheats. the radiator hose is warm at best when coolant temp reads 260 and other hoses are veryvery hot. is there anything i can do to get through another month? should i even spend money on heater core or water pump?

i'm not sure if i have to replace it or not. i have no 1st or 2nd gear but if i just go it will speed up and then if i get to about 30mph then it will drive fine. i was told it was a pump inside the tranny and can be replaced easy. should i fix it that way or just replace the tranny??and so this is where my question come to the picture. what kind of tranny do i have??

I have a 1993 Cadillac Deville with 94,000 miles on it. It spits and sputters when accelerating and jerks forward when accelerating. It does not do this every time ,but it does it most of the time.
Ideas so far are:
EGR valve , or fuel injectors .

sways around in the rear of car. had it aligned and both tire rods replaced in the front. tires have only 10000 mile on them.
