Salesperson recommended going to Best Buy (where I bought my iPod). Parts guy recommended the integration system. I've seen a jack on eBay that offered a 30 pin connector for the iPod with a 3.5 mm male jack for the aux port and a plug to charge into the cigarette socket. Is this the best option w/out buyuing the integration system?

Is it that the nav system is outdated on the CX9 2007? Seems as though everything Im trying to find (like my house, living there for over 3 years now, new development) is not on the navi. there are 3 walmarts in my neighborhood, none of which are on there. Do I just have to wait for the updated model?

2008 Mazda CX 9. Is there a way to bypass the safety feature on the Nav unit?

The options grey out once moving on the Nav unit in our Mazda CX 9. Isn't there a way to bypass the safety feature so the passenger (wife) can program while driving down the road? We we just coming back from Canada and wanted a coffee so she went to enter Starbucks and the option was greyed out? We had to pull over on the freeway in order to program the unit? From what I'm seeing so far the dealer installed unit isn't worth the money? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Like many others, I am trying to decide between the Enclave and the CX-9. Need room for 6 and I pull a 1,800LB trailer. With todays gas prices gas mileage is important. Both vehicles are about the same. I understand the Enclave won't get direct injection until 2010. Direct injection improves HP and at the same time increases gas mileage. The CX-9 increased displacement from 3.5 to 3.7 in 2008 but I don't think they added direct injection. Does anyone know if or when they will add it?

My mom needs a new car. She had a 2002 Chevy Venture but it was TERRIBLE!! Way too many severe problems, trans, engine, electrical the works! She needs a larger car, there are 6 people in my family so we will need the room. She doesn't want a new minivan or a large SUV. The issue is that she drives a lot. In 6 years of the Venture she put 95,000 miles on it. Her two top choices are the Mazda CX-9 and the Honda pilot. My family has had a few Hondas in the past and have had good luck, so we're leaning towards that.

She wants at least 7 passenger seating, prefers all wheel drive but 4 wheel drive will do, needs the reliablity.

Any suggestions?

I have tried 4 different power supplies with all three outlets in my CX-9, and it appears that Sprint cell phone chargers don't work. Has anyone else seen this? Now, I'm having to use a power converter in the console to plug in a wall charger.

Also, regardless of gas station (location or brand), when I leave the nozzle in and set to autofill (you know, click off when the tank is full), every single time, the tank overflows. It's almost like the fill tube is too narrow, and is spouting backwards faster than the nozzle can shut off. Has anyone else seen this?

(I searched the forums for these two issues before I posted, but didn't see anything like either question)

I have a Mazda CX-9 2008 Grand Toring Model. For the past 4 months a single 10 amp fuse has been blowing spontaneously shutting down the remote ignition start, Keyless Entry, and center consol which includes: GPS/Radio/CD/The central display above besides the anoying beeping sound ringing in my head everytime this happens.

I have brought my CX 9 to Gunther Mazda, which I may say has been awesome through this experience but still have not found a cause. So, the first time the fuse blew I was driving over railroad tracks, the second time I was backing out of my driveway, the third time I was on I 95 and now the 4th time I was making a left hand turn.

I have 45,000 miles and no extended waranty. Whom do I need to contact to get to the bottom of this issue. I feel bad for the dealership because they are unable to fix the issue. Does the Lemon Law cover this? Thanks for all of your help.

Need help rigging a cargo cover for new Mazda CX-9 with power liftgate.

I just purchased the Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring AWD with GT Assistance and Moonroof package. Since it has a power liftgate, the motor is in the way of the retractable cargo cover and one is not available through Mazda. Why on earth would a $40M vehicle not have an option to cover its cargo area? It's ridiculous. Anyone have any ideas on how to go about solving this problem? My fiance just says... don't keep anything in the "trunk". :-) Thanks!
