I replaced my overspray damage on my windshield with some fine scratches. 92 Mercedes 190E.

I was trying to get rid of some overspay damage on my windshield and messed it up. I was advised by a paint/body guy from an auto parts store (we're not going to mention which) to use the roughest scotch-brite pad and some water. Well actually it was the cashier but he got the info from that stores "paint & body guy."There were 3 stages: light, medium, and the roughest. The pads looked like the rough side of a dish washing sponge. I ask the guy specifically is this going to scratch the windshield? He was like No you would think it would but No. So ok I go home and it was around 5:30 in the evening and the sun was already setting. I take the pad with confidence and start scrubbing it off. Well i scratched the hell out of my windshield all over it. You can't really see it during the day but driving at night it really messes with my eyes. It's like windshield wiper scratches all over the windshield. Any solution or is the only solution replace windshield? Is an aftermarket windshield about as good as the original or would you recommend strictly original? Please help.

The electric window controls on my 1993 190E Mercedes are breaking one by one. The rear driver side window control only works in the back. The rear passenger side window doesn't work at all. And now the front passenger side window will go down, but not back up. I have other electrical issues with the car, including the radio and sunroof. How much does it cost to get the windows fixed? Can I put the window up manually?

Hi. I've noticed recently that the temperature gauge on my 1993 MB 190e has been running very close to the red. Especially when I'm driving below 50mph. I've checked the coolant levels and the hoses and haven't found any leaks. Could it be the thermostat that's going or is it the radiator?

I just found out from my mechanic today that one of my fuel pumps is leaking gas. I was wondering if it is fairly easy to replace the part myself for my 92 190E 2.6. I think its the one by the rear axle. If so can you please give me some instructions? Thank you.
