Dear Mark, This is not a question...Just a THANKS YOU SO MUCH for your answer to my recent question about the warming-plug-in on my car. I DO think that perhaps the GLOW-PLUG system should be checked BUT since I have been plugging in the extension cord evenings ...late about 11.pm and unplugging about 8 am.... the car has started without ANY STRESS. Before it really had to labor a lot..almost to the point I thought I would ruin the starter. PHEW..Awful when you are alone and have only SOME limited knowledge. I appreciate the references and I will review them....means a lot and again .... MANY THANKS... THUMBS -UP!!! (Gotta find where to do that I am new at this computer stuff.)

Sorry to be a pest BUT one more little thing...Is there a maximum amount of time suggested for having the plug-in connected via extension cord? Don't want to "Burn" the thing out. NO RUSH ON THE ANSWER...Just wondering!! Good luck with yours NICE CARS..( I also have a 450sl 1980 with both tops..MY BABY!!Use only in summer..low mileage too!) THANKS in advance Mark! Dori

The front cover snaps off. I'm trying to locate the source of oil leak. A drip clings to the rear of the engine but I cannot see where it is coming from. Any suggestions about where to start looking?

Car has 700 miles left on original warranty plus it is a MB certified pre owned.

Are there any precautions to take when plugging in an extension cord to heat the diesel fuel in winter? Mercedes 350SDL.

MECHANICAL QUESTION: I have a 1990 Mercedes 350SDL and want to be sure that there are no hazards involved when plugging electrical current into the "fuel warmer " in the front of the car. My husband (a mechanic) died and the dealer we worked with went out of business so I don't have a source to ask and don't want to do anything "STUPID". (I recently had a new TIME RELAY BOX installed at a "Mom and Pop" garage as the "Glo-Light" was not responding prior to starting..NOW IT WORKS)..These folks are NOT Mercedes people so I don't want to rely on THIS question with these folks.) The car really labors when starting so I believe it is because the fuel is too cold and I don't want to wreck the starting mechanism. Can you please advise me on any precautions I should take or anything else I should do? I will probably have OTHER questions later on another Mercedes I own too.
