I am trying to keep the integrity of the car. She is gorgeous!
I can replace with costly Mercedes stamped, or PPG. Again, what would you do, if this was your car?

The car is very clean with new tires, like new convertible top under The hard top. Mercedes silver in color. I am the second owner. Only drove the car on weekends. Owned car approx 38 years.

I have a 1973 Mercedes 450 SLC. My heat is either full on or full off when simply raising the heat control lever.

I have a 1973 450SLC. My heat is either full on or full off when simply raising the heat control lever. On the firewall the heat control valve either goes on full or completely off.

The 1973 SLC is vacuum controlled. Replaced the heater control valve on the firewall.

Is there an adjustment to soften the vacuum pressure to these controls/ valves?

I have a 1973 Mercedes 450sl that I purchased from a William Bishop. He bought it from a man in 1990 that paid $37,500.00 dollars for it in Colorado. The car was supposed to belong to John Denver originally and I would like to find out if this is true.The vin number is= 107044-12-012727. Thank you Jerry in Napa,CA.
