Love the luxurious interior, convertible, tight ride, & little larger back seat of the CLK and convertible. Just wonder how wise it is to buy a seven year old car vs. a younger model of a slightly lesser level of car (CLK is 1000 lbs heavier). The older model is a much more expensive car originally, and belief is M-B is a good solid car that lasts. Before 50K miles, '02 was certified pre-owned. Great price on '02 (less than $16K). Would love to hear other's thoughts!

While lowering power top, everything stopped. Now top, windows and roll bar will not work. Top is unlatched, windows down. How can I reset them? Any help will be appreciated.

my 95 c220 MB passenger side window goes down, when I unlock my car door and stays down while I am driving. It will no go back up until the key is out of the iginition. I tried holding it while starting the car and it still goes down. Then it takes about 5 minutes to go back up. The switch will make it go up and down, but not while driving. When I lock the door it goes down. The lock on the passenger side is broken. Is this causing a problem? The switch does not work at all while driving. I can't leave my window down while driving or if I go out. What is going on. Do I need a special tool to take the inside door panel cover off? I need an answer soon. It's cold outside.....

I sometimes freewheel my Mercedes E320 auto, when going down hill to save fuel. Is this damaging the transmission?

The car does not stop or slow down in a normal fashion. The engine is turning at high RPM's and there is no apparent sensation of slowing down, as in the feel of inertia, and the car does not reduce its speed to any noticeable degree. It is a frightening sensation.I asked the dealer and he said that this was the way the cars braking system was designed to operate as it is an ABS system and there is no engine braking but that the car has larger brakes to compensate for this fact. This sounds rather suspicious.

How do you change the low beam light of a Mercedes-Benz M320. I am unable to take the old bad one out. Thanks

boght a ml 350 2006 with 26 k miles on it. I feel a jerking motion when the car is in slow speeds around 10-15 miles per hour especially when slowing down kinda like a new driver learning to shift on a manual, brought it to the dealer but they said nothing is wrong with it. how or where do i go from here, any suggestions?

Thanks for your response, yes it feels like a quick jerking motion when it downshits from 2nd to 1st and when i make a complete stop and when its in 1st gear going to second gear but after that on higher speeds the transmission is smooth. that problem should be covered by the warranty right? thanks again for your advice.

the inside bolts that are connected to the 2 front doors via the door check strap have loosened themselves over a period of time and fallen out. I cannot secure them because they is nothing inside the door that will grasp them whenever I try to replace them. I can remember hearing something inside of the door falling but there is no way to put my hand inside the door to retrieve whatever that was. The big problem is that the windows can only be lowered 50% because of the unsecure ends inside the doors. When ever I try to lower the windows more than 50%, there is a good chance of them becoming stuck. Since the end part of the of the door check strap is loosely hanging out inside the door. Please advise.

I've never dealt with obtaining a loan before selecting a vehicle at a dealership and wanted to know if getting approved for a loan prior to finding a vehicle with negative equity is 1) smart and 2) possible.

I have just finshed reading your over view of the 2006 cls. In the section labled cons, you comment on the type of cup holders that the cls has. You state that the 2006 cls has flimsy pop up cup holders. That is incorrect as a 2006 cls owner and of a 2004 s500, there are no pop up cup holders on the cls. The cup holders on the cls are built into the counsel, however they do elevate, but they do not pop up as they do on other models such as the 2004 s500.

i have just purchased a navigation system for my c230 from ebay and need to have it installed, however my local dealer will not do it for warranty reasons.

i have searched the web for some time now and all i found is i need a gps antenna and a local custom auto shop should be able to do it.

my husband took the starter out of the car and took it to the shop and they said that the silinoid on the starter was bad on it so they replaced the silinoid he put it back on today and tried to start it up and it is making a really loud clicking noise and it is not turning over. Do you have any sugestions for him.
