Can you swap a 1991 mitsubishi 3000gt sl engine into a 1993 body?

I have a 1991 mitsubishi 3000gt sl and wanted to swap it into a 1993 body, but the sensors are in different spots. On the 1991 the crank sensor and the cam sensor are one unit behind heads, on the 1993 the crank sensor is by the crank and the cam sensor in to the left of the cam. Is there a way to bypass them for it to work?

Is the crank shaft pulley bolt reverse thread on a 93 Mitsubishi 3000GT-RV4?

Have 1991 3000 VR4 (57500 miles one owner). Looks good runs good but dealer saying the front end exhaust beginning to blow. Misubishi saying cost could exceed $2K?? Tried E-Bay but there are only non-turbo types available? Also the AC LED indicator/instrument acted like 'firework display' before going blank - ideas on fixing?

1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL non-turbo with 101,000. Excellent repair and service history records all from Firestone Auto Center over the past 50k and now a second spark plug has blown out this year and after less than 9k miles since the complete spark plug and wire replacement job? Why would this happen if properly maintained once let alone twice and after the recent complete annual auto inspection over a month ago?

Mitsubishi 3000GT tires question. What is the difference between 245/35zr19 and 245/35r19 (basically what's the Z for?).

In attempt to resolve its had new cambelt & pulleys, new water pump, new spark plugs etc all by Mitsu dealer.. still have same problem. Cold it purrs but problem starts when the engine almost reaches normal running temp...

my blinkers wont blink left or right , but both lights work when i turn my lights on.The only thing is is that even when my lights are on they still wont work both front and back wont signal. check the fuses there ok,as well as the bulbs there ok.Someone told me to ckeak my flasher what is that and what can i do to help the problem.

I just bought a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT Non-Turbo Base Coupe with 136,000 miles on it for $1,200. The car has been sitting in the seller's garage for nearly 2 years rarely started or driven during that time. "When I pick the car up, I'd like to drive it around the block to make sure the manual transmission shifts right and to listen to the engine before I pay the remaining balance." "Could I damage the vehicle in doing this, being that it has the same fuel, oil and other fluids from nearly two years ago?" Not to mention, that the tires are dry rotted and the battery is dead. It will start with a jump though. If it checks out, I'll haul it home on a trailer and fix it up. Thanks.

I've had this problem for a while, then my transmission got worse and and I had to have it rebuilt. The people I had rebuild it, didn't do it right. I don't even think they did anything. I can feel it stick in fourth really bad, and the drop happens at around 15mph. The only way to avoid it is to turn off overdrive before I get to 20 mph. I asked the guy who rebuilt it what he thought it was and he thought it could be repaired at a shop. Anyone have any ideas?

the car is a Mitsubishi 3000GT. It's an automatic from the year 1994. A mechanic swapped my ecu's to put them in another mitsi and then my car come out of the garage with many problems.

I took my car into another garage and they put put new ecu's in my car but still won't go into last gear. I have taken it to another mechanic and he said that the new ecu's need programming into the car. I will not leave my car there with them as I have had many of problems but I need to know if it is true that the new ecu's need programming into the car?

The light that looks like an oil can in the dash is on. The light started going on and off. Now it is on all the time. I have changed the oil. I believe the oil senser needs to be replaced. I have purchased a new sensor but can't find where it goes on the engine. Can anyone derect me?

My oil pressure gage reads fine.

I'm trying to find the name of the wire harness which connects by clip to the driver side door (on front edge of door by the door hinges) and runs from the side of the dash. The wiring controls the power windows.

The garage said there is only one company making the wire harness and it's $1200 - they also could not tell me the name of the part. I'd like to find an alternate source, ie, junk yard, ebay, etc. to buy the part but I'm having a hard time since I don't have the exact name of the part.

Any help is much appreciated!

We replaced the starter 2 times. Before the starter was replaced we were having the same intermittent starting problem and were told by the dealer that the starter was going out, but now I'm not so sure that it was. The first time the starter was defective, the 2nd starter came with a lifetime warranty. We've had the alternator, battery, fuses & wiring checked and they are working correctly and in good condition.

How do I smog my Mitsubishi 3000GT 1993 when it is blowing smoke?

I am trying to smog a 1993 Mit. GT 3000. I have no repair man. to refer to; can't even go to dealership, they too would have to order @ $100 a book. I changed the spark plugs, which intitled taking of the head, replacing gasket,ect. Sounds like I have vaccume leak, don't know where it is. Would like to time it but don't know the specs. Hey there, Ok, It all started when my clutch was not engaging in any gear (when running). I saw fluid under the dash, replaced master (which was a pain) Now im replacing the slave. Looks simple, remove 2 nuts replace and bleed. Well I cant get the new push rod in the clutch level. I have been working on my car for 2 weeks, im tired and my arms are like jello, now I know what you guys (mechanics) go through. Anyone out there with step by steps?, do's and don'ts, NEW PAIR OF ARMS?, Geezs 85% of my time was spent on removing frozen nuts and stripped hardlines...sorry to vent, Any suggestion will be GREATLY appreciated.

95 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL. My car would die when I step on the clutch around 40mph and on occasion between 25-30mph. No light on.

It would die(rpm drops fast nearly to zero) if I step on the clutch while moving at 40mph+ or sometime 20-30mph. It would start right up, no problem. No light. Quick shift between gear is not a problem either. My trick is to break(while in gear) to speed less than 20mph(rather than try to step on the clutch then shift to neutral) then clutch and shift to neutral then the rpm doesn't really drop, engine doesn't die. Option #2, I step on the clutch slowly(instead of push it all the way down immediately) to make sure the rpm doesn't drop too fast(otherwise engine dies) and once it stays at 700-800 rpm, I shift to neutral. However, I NEED to fix the problem! Any help is greatly appreciated. THANKS!

91 does not have crank angle sensor and the 94 has them on the engine. I have both cars, can use any part to make this work. The engine has to go into the 91, the 94 got wrecked. Somebody told me to switch the ecu and the wiring harness. Will this work?
