I have a 95 Eclipse GS front wheel drive with ABS and am having brake problems. The pedal feels just like a clutch pedal. (goes to the floor real easy). I tried bleeding but it didn't help so I bought a new master cylinder and bench bled it and put it on and bleed out all four wheels. But it is doing the same thing. I know I'm not leaking brake fluid anywhere. When I open the bleeders on the wheels, there is no pressure with the fluid. A lot comes out but it just trickles out. Need help bad. Thanks!

2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT making strange noise.

One month old and I noticed a strange noise when going from park to 1st or park to reverse when traveling the first 3-5 feet. I rarely drive the car so it took me that long to notice it. I would describe it as a large twig rolling under the car. I took the car to the dealership and the service man told me it sounded like the clutch wasn't engaging right and that the transmission would have to come out. The dealership had my car for a day and told me to come and get it and that there was no noice... The mechanic that "heard" it earlier had been fired. I had my son pick up the car and "show" them this noice and THEN they heard it and had 3 mechanics looking in to it. Nobody had a clue what it was. My son test drove another 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT that day and it did the same thing.
Is anybody else having this problem? I wouldn't think a $28,000.00 car should have any "noice". They can't fix because the mitsubishi mechanics don't know were the sound is coming from and everything on the car checks out fine. Could this be a manufacturing defect in the 2008's.

My 03 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS makes a weird double buzzing sound when I turn the ignition to on and start it.

It makes this buzzing sound, sounds like 2 quick buzzes. Normally my car will buzz, if my door is open or if my headlights are on, both of those are not the case and the manual only tells me those 2 options for the buzzing noise i hear. I tried contacting Mitsubishi, was a waste of time they told me to talk to a dealer and that didnt help much, once my car is pull away and start driving the buzzing will stop, I havent notice anything else wrong with my car performance wise so i am at a loss any help is greatly appreciated.

2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse coolant leak, help?

Maybe a week ago as I was driving I noticed a strong smell coming through the vents; it's sweet so I assumed coolant. Nothing happening as far as temp. gauge and no other remarkable issues other than smell. During inspection I located the source of the smell which was of course the antifreeze. It appears as though the only locations of leak are from clamps/hose. Took off hoses to clean any site of contact- remove gunk, crust, whatever-replace original hoses, new clamps, new coolant. No issues for the next few days until late last night. Noticed temp gauge going nuts, slowly cruising from mid to hot and back again. No smoke. Checked it out this morning, no coolant! Still seems very much to be coming from site of hose attachment. #@%$!!! Replaced coolant hoping to at least keep car from overheating while driving until I can get it to a shop. I NEED to make an 8 hour drive as of, oh, yesterday. But now the temp gauge is really freaking out. Noticed a previous ? about "burping" excess air out of hose..going to try that. Any suggestions?! Oh, AND now it's hesitant to blow hot air.

2001 Spyder GT V6 auto sport type shift, shifter works but will not go into any gear a buzz sound from under shift linkage on top of the transmision. Code from jumper on pin one is 1114 from the neutral shift light on dash. I dont know what that is. Can't find any info on internal transmission repair. Sounds like a solenoid either can't engage or it's stuck. I'm going top take the front pan off and see if there is easy access to this valve if there is one!!

Thanks,
Don

Took the car to Firestone to diagnose reason for check engine light. Said it was oxygen sensor. They replaced it, also did oil change and head light replacement. Drove it 3 miles and the timing belt went, causing the car to die and was told that destroyed the interference engine in this otherwise perfect car.
Coincidence? Could any part of the above repairs have led to this? Is it possible the Mitsubishi engine is the problem? Certainly, The timing belt is not due for replacement before 60-100K miles at best.
Can this engine be repaired or is it better to get rebuilt installed and just sell it?

The Data Port does not have identifying marks for the pin orientation.

A picture or drawing would be helpful.

Low oil pressure in 1994 Mitsubishi 1.8L Eclipse. Aand bad oil leak around oil pump gear. How to fix? Thanks

I have a 94 Eclipse with a 1.8L engine. I have a bad oil leak around the oil pump gear and virtually no oil pressure when it warms up. Will a new seal help? I had to put new rod bearings in it and was told old worn out ones might have clogged upper oil passage ways causing low pressure.
I can get a used engine for 400 bucks, should I just go that route and rebuild old one from ground up?

Thanks a ton
Jerry
