I dont really know what the color code is for the vacuum lines where they hook up to the vacuum shift motor are. Or maybe i don't have the routing right up above where it goes to and comes from the canister.

interior lights stay on, nothing works on the driver's side power panel. none of the power buttons on the driver's side work. and the lights on the interior do not dim out like they should. i've checked all the fuses and all are good. just started happening. any help would be appreciated.

The tailgate open warning light comes on on my 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee even if I slam the door hard. Why is this?

The warning light comes and stays on the dash when ignition is switched on. This may have contributed to a flat battery overnight. Cheers

Strange noise coming from my driver's side front wheel. Starts exactly 20 mph faster as speed increases. Jeep Grand Cherokee.

front drivers wheel. noise at 20 mph gets faster as speed increases, and slows as the car slows. no noise when you pull away untill i reach 20mph. have tried takeing it out of gear at speed and no differance, even tried rolling down hill in neutrall and sure enough 20 mph it started. sounds like something is rubbing on the tire not really a metalic sound. have checked visually underneath nothing is rubbing. thoughtof wheel bearing but from 20 mph and higher only i dont think so. any ideas please.

How do you get rid of cigarette smoke smell in a car? One of our company cars is a 2004 Jeep Liberty. The driver was a heavy chain smoker and the cloth interior completely reeks of cigarette smoke, and now we need to sell it. How do you remove brake rotors on a Jeep Liberty?

Rear brakes on 2005 Liberty 2WD - I have an 05 Liberty with 40K on it. Has anyone had any problems getting the rear rotors off? I know the parking brake mechanism is on the inside of the rotor. I'm thinking that is rusted which is causing my issues removing the rotor. What is going on with these brakes? At 40K the rear pads were smoked already and the rotors need turned/replaced?!?! I started getting a nice grind from the passenger rear and I found a nice groove that was starting on the rotor from the pad. Any ideas on how I can get the rotor off?

Jeep belongs to my son in AIR FORCE in Montana, his wife says it has failed to go into reverse 3-4 times in the last 2 wks. It has 50,000 miles on it and I've seen others with jeep tran. problems, not sure if its a controlled elec. sol. or a direct clutch engagement when placed in reverse.

93 jeep cherokee 4 wheel drive 240,000 miles . Bought yesterday and didn't notice it was in 4 wheel drive when we test drove it . Drove it for an hr and smelt a burning smell parked it and try to drive it again still in 4 wheel drive and it would not go in reverse it made an awful cruching dragging sound took it out of 4 wheel drive and tried to pull forward and it wouldn't drive forward . Called a mechanic and was told it could be the trans or the rear anyone have any idea what this could be ?

I have an 02 Jeep Liberty without ABS. I recently flushed my brake system because my brake fluid looked like Jack Daniels. When I was done I had no brake pedal pressure so I figured with the brake fluid looking so bad I might have desturbed the main seal in the master cylinder so I replaced the master cylinder. I bench blead, properly torqued the master cylinder to 18 Ft Lbs. I bought a phoenix injector so I used RFI (Reverse Fluid Injection) to bleed the system. Now it will hold pressure when pumped and as soon as I let off after pumping the brake pedal it falls to the floor. I pulled the new master cylinder again and there are no external leaks into the booster. There is no adjustment that I can find for the brake pedal going to the booster or on the other side going to the master cylinder. I used proper DOT 3 brake fluid, there are no external leaks anywhere along the lines or at any of the wheel cylinders, I started bleeding at the Right Rear, then left rear then right front and then left front like OEM calls for. I asked jeep and there is no button to be pushed or pulled on the combination valve. I'm lost. Help!

Jeep will run fine then die. Sometimes starts some times have to let sit a few hours.

Jeep will start in moring and will run for about 10 to 15 minutes then it justs dies before it will start again it has to set a few hour sometime it starts right up any ideas what it might be doing it for over a year getting really bad.

My dealer recommended fluid changes in rear differential, brake, power steering, engine coolant, and fuel injection clean up for my 45k-mile Jeep costing well over $500. I just want to ride the Jeep for 5 more years or till 100K and do I really need all these top of the line maintenance? I feel like they are taking advantage of my ingorance on cars.

I took my new (to me) 2002 jeep wrangler on it's 1st trip where there were some pretty steep hilly highways and noticed that with the pedal to the floor sometimes it would not go over 55. Granted it is only a 4 cyl., the mechanic at the dealership informed that it was due to the oversized tires and 4:11 gear ratio that it has. Does this sound right?

I measure 55-60 degree air coming out of my A/C measured with a thermometer inserted into a dash vent. I took it to the dealer who says he measured 37 degrees and said there is no problem. Do other Wrangler's get colder than mine? I also have a 2002 Grand Cherokee which has a great A/C.
