Land Rover Discovery TD5 water / fuel filter sensor not working.

I replaced the fuel filter/separator on TD5. Now dash self check light not illuminating at key start.
Have played with sensor plug on bottom of filter but still does not indicate at start up. 3 wires attached to sensor- how do I check?

Does anyone have any information on the two shifting modes for the 1995 Land Rover Range Rover Classic?

I have a 1996 Range Rover 4.0SE. Recently I went through a car wash and when I got through and put my car in drive, it was still stuck in nuetral. The shifter works but it is stuck in neutral no matter what gear I put it in. In addition on the display comes up with a message of Transfer Neutral. Can anyone shed some light on this for me. Thank you!

I have a 2001 range rover hse 4.6L v8. When I'm on the freeway it shakes 40 and over and it feels like its in the back of the truck. Also it says that the air bag sensor has a malfunction?When I put it in park it says to put in neutral and the 4 wheel drive side of shifter stars blinking.

Before ordering my 2010 RR, I checked the sound system of my friend's RR 2008 and it was impressive. I ordered my car with the highest options but unfortunately when I received it the sound quality is nothing close to a good quality one - choosing the SS (sub woofer level) to max or Min makes no difference at all. My dealer says this is normal and what i am hearing is the best sound system ever built? i hate this car , still driving my lovely 2006 STS to avoid feeling screwed every morning. anyone feeling the same?

Should I buy a 2006 Range Rover HSE or an 2006 Range Rover Sport? Which is more reliable?

I've a new LR2 (3 mo) and EPA is 16-23....many reviewers are siting higher mileage, and I'm only getting 15.3 mpg with combined city/hwy - and that's approx 80% hwy. I've had a fare share of issues with the car, i.e., software, etc., that have been fixed, but want to know if it's common to get $shaved off a lease, or a new car if not meeting standards....

i have a 1995 land rover discovery, with 3.9 ltr emgine.(blown head )i have a donor discovery 1997 with 4.0 ltr engine complete with evrything. from engine to trans to ecu. just bad frame...now is this a possible swap? any difference on diffirential gears.any advise would be appreciated. thanks.

Do others have trouble with erratic "automatic" wiper setting on their Land Rover LR2? This seems to be a flaw.

We are having trouble with our wipers. There is no intermittent setting -instead, there is an "automatic" setting that speeds up and slows erratically and annoyingly is supposed to relate to rain and speed of car but doesn't seem to!). I understand that others have complained about this. I haer others don't like it and maybe Land Rover will create a software fix -but when?!! this is SO annoying! This is one of the over-engineered aspects of a car that I otherwise generally like. Also, if you forget to turn of automatic setting and go through car wash your wipers (and potentially windshield from the scratching) can be ruined. Just make a plain old intermittent setting, please!

I got my land rover 2/10/07 used but not from land rover. The warranty ran out shortly after we got it and my payments are for six years. I live in New Castle Pa and nobody can work on it here. I called about the lemon law and they said that it isn't for used autos. But my Finance company is trying to help with the repairs. But not sure just what they all may be cause we had it in the land rover shop for the antifreeze bottle was cracked and the mirror on the passenger side was broken and they had to take the motor out and along with two tires alone were $1000.00 dollars inspection. But the rackinpinnion is leaking and the re tractor for the rear window needs replaced. We got it out the shop after getting another loan just for that was a total of $1400.00 and I went out to start it and back to the shop it went cause it wont start. The antifreeze is leaking into the motor the crank sensor was replaced and not very sure what nightmare is in store for us now except that we still owe $16,220.28 on it. And it is in the shop more than out not only that I have not been able to go to work due to I am a home health aide and it was my only way to work. Not sure what can be done at this time cause we will have to pay for a truck that is useless. The light does come on for the downhill and they said they fixed it. We do the normal maintenances on it. But all I know is if there is a way out of this as much as I like the truck I wont get another one due to the major problems that they don't tell you about It is very costly and a headache. Not sure about a class action at this time but it is one we would be a part of it but for now stuck in a hard place. We had it towed to the land rover shop but no word yet. But one thing I was told from one of there salesmen was that that model has a lot of issues that have not been worked out yet and this is why I am getting the word out to let others know so they don't get burned like me. If I had known I would be in better shape. Our finance company said it sounds like we got a LEMON. They say no law on used

2002 land rover freelander. i have had the upper intake manifold replaced. have had the serpentine belt replaced and the harmonic dampner was turned. THe sound will go away after 5-8 minutes of running.

The Land Rover I was asking about (purge system) is a 2003, Discovery SE-7.

It seems that when my wife puts gas in it, the service light comes on. We took it to a mechanic who did not have a high-tech scanner, but the scanner he ran the service light on came back with a code depicting problems with the purge system. Any clue as to what it might be?

After my battery went dead and later re-charged, my keyless remote will no longer open my doors by using the keyless remote. The dealer wants $118. to re-program and its not very fair for such a high charge for just having a dead battery.

Purchased the Discovery II 3 mo ago used at a local dealership. They did not have the key remote with the vehicle. Tried to order one for me but was told that I needed to take the vehicle to dealership. Closest dealership is 3 hours away. I had plans to travel to dealership next Thursday. Right now, doors are locked and will not unlock. Only one door with key entry is driver’s door. The key just turns and turns. Nothing happens. Online manuals provide suggestions but all require opening the vehicle first. Locksmith said they could only pry door open. I have great vehicle but can't get in it.

Any advice re replacement tires for my LandRover Freelander small SUV?

I'm looking at buying a pig in a poke. 2000 Land Rover, body decent, interior decent, 124K miles. Engine died on the road after car was bought at auction. Engines cranks, sort of miss fires, but won't start.

I have 0 experience with Land Rover. I think the engine needs a timing belt (or chain, don't know this engine). Just sounds like it's out of timing when it tries to start. Seller is asking $1000. Anyone familiar with Land Rover... Think it's worth it?

The squeak is evident whenever the rover is required to use the springs and coils beneath the car. One can even jump up and down on the bumper to hear the squeak. It is annoying and I would like for it to stop! Does anyone have an idea of why this is happening and what I should do about it. Thanks so much!!

my bro in law was driving on the motorway at around 60 when the vehicle started grinding almost as if the engine was hanging out many people have told me that its the viscous coupling on the prop but i disconnected it and was still the same i then changed the transfer box which was totally shot and have now got a grinding in reverse and on full lock has anyone had this problem if so how did you fix it

Coolant flows freely through the heater matrix and the thermostat is new. Engine isn't overheating but then again I haven't taken any risks.

I have no power to my fuel pump. Checked one fuse under hood and one in dash. Is there a relay? 99 4/8 4.0 Land Rover Discovery 1.

My Land Rover Discovery TD5 (2003) diesel Automatic is emitting an alarm beep from within the binnacle. The sound is stronger than the reversing alarm. There are no warning lights on.

2002 Land Rover Freelander HSE 80,000 roughly no other engine problems. The leak seems to be coming from possibly the radiator hose but not entirely sure. The liquid is anti freeze. Filled the antifreeze about a week ago or so and don't use the vehicle that often.

while driving the srs light will come on and the antilock light comes on and the mph will drop and rise rapidly then the car shuts off and wont start. i replaced battery and alternator and works fine for about 30min and same problem. Once i charge the battery its good for another 30 min. any other ideas?

Cannot get the key out of the ignition on a 1968 Land Rover Discovery.

The only way that I can get the key out of the igition is to disconnect the battery. The key then comes out easily.
