Got to be over due for a model refresh, but I can't find anything on the web that discusses it.

Is paying $13k for a 1998 Lexus GS 300 with over 142k miles too much? I really want this car just need opinions.

Lexus IS 250, about 4500 miles, get the Oil Maintenance Required Soon message. I turned off maintenance settings in the dash. Going for maintenance soon; how does this message get turned off? I turned off the maintenance minder in the nav so I'm not sure why it is still showing up.

I have trusted my local neighborhood mechanic when he recently insisted that all 4 tires of my 2006 Lexus i250 AWD which had 15,000 miles on it when I took it in because I noticed a bubble in the right front tire. The neighborhood mechanic said that although the other 3 tires were in good shape it was impossible to rebalance the tires if he only changed one. My tire light was not activated as it has been in the past when I had a slow leak from a nail puncture. I paid the $650 to replace all the tires but now I am wondering if I have been just a gullible old lady. I wou;d appreciate any feedback.

Looking for new clutch and flywheel for 2002 Lexus IS 300. Only has 48,000 miles. Any suggestions?

Lexus 2002 IS 300, has 48,000 miles. started recently driving it again after a year or so. the clutch seems to be going out and i was wondering which is better for the car. going with stock parts or aftermarket. trying to find quotes on how much clutch kit would be. either buying a new flywheel or trying to resurface the older one. what would you suggest. the mileage does seem kinda low for the clutch to being going out.

Lexus 2006 IS 250, built in nav and Bluetooth. After I command a phone number and voicemail answers, if I have to enter an extension there is no way to do it via Bluetooth. I have to manually enter the extension on the phone keypad by holding the phone in my hand. Anyone know any other way? Can't use smartphone because you'd have to take eyes off the road to put in extension. Thanks for any advice.

For General maintenance and repairs parts etc. Just wondering what the general costs are. Are they comparative to Toyota or Nissan? Are they fixable by any general Auto shop? Do they require genuine Lexus parts for repair? The car is $7600. Looks beautiful however, I do not want to go broke fixing it.

1999 FWD Lexus RX 300 automatic transmission died on me. Just quit working. Just wouldn't move in any gear. Engine runs great. The reason I ask the question is because I found a used ES 300 automatic transmission thats half the price of a RX 300 automatic transmission. Notice that the Transmissions ID# 4 SP FWD U140E Transmission were the same. Although, the ES 300 mentions a 18 bolt pattern.

Is an AWD car with less hp faster than a RWD car with more hp? Shopping Lexus IS 250 and IS 350.

Ok, now i am looking at the AWD Lexus IS250 and the RWD Lexus IS350. The IS350 has more horsepower (about 100 more) than the IS250, but would an AWD car have a little bit of an advantage over the RWD car even though the RWD has more hp???

Thinking about the hybrid. Has anyone put a receiver type trailer hitch on? I want to use my bike rack that plugs into the receiver hitch. Would an aftermarket hitch bolted onto the car void the warranty? Don't really want to pay the extra dough for the factory hitch just to carry bikes and I never tow anything.

94 lexus 300gs 150k..when auto temp selector knob is set only warm/hot air is discharged..however if selector control is set turning the knob to the right to the max "coldest" appears in the panel and the discharge is cold,cold... Who's better? Local auto body shop or the Lexus dealership? I got estimates from both and they are nearly identical. Other party's insurance company will be paying so no deductible.

I am concerned about quality of work - fit and finish and precise color matching. My car is a glacier frost mica, which I believe is a three step process.

It’s a Lexus LS 400, the oil level light is on, the traction off light is on and the check engine light is on. We have taken this car to the shop over 20 times and spent over a thousand dollars trying to get them off. The oil level is always ok,& no codes showing for the engine. When we take the battery out and reset everything the lights go off for about a day. But never stay off.

I know the door pillar specifies 30 psi cold front and rear but each time my car is serviced by a Lexus dealer the pressure has been adjusted to nearly 40 psi cold. Will this increase fuel economy and extend tire life or will it just wear the centers of the treads out more quickly because the shoulders of the tires are not bearing as much of the load at this increased pressure. Also, will this increased pressure decrease tire skid resistance? Thank You! Regards, Ed

My traction control off light is on. In manual it says if blinking take to dealership. Car is running fine, no new noise, gears not slipping and braking fine. Is this something that needs to be addressed immediately? Will this cause any damage or additional damage that I don't know about?

I've had my car for 6 years and the dash is sticky. Dealership asked if my car is parked in the sun. My reaction is that the sun shouldn't have anything to do with a deteriorating dash, especially on a Lexus! It's off warranty, but I was told they would have changed it if I had brought it in sooner. BUT, they checked with ALL their sales offices nationally and in Japan. They said that I seem to be the only one with this problem since no one has ever complained about a deteriorating dash. Could this be true?

Before purchasing last week, I took the car to reliable mechanic. The transmission fluid was clear as well as oil. I think the dealer just topped it off before showing the car to me. I've noticed a slight surge or lurch when the car is doing it's first shift two days ago. It's most noticeable if I am driving slowly. Do I have a transmission problem? The car had all of its' required service by a Lexus Dearlership up to 30,000 miles. Then I have no more service records. Also, I'm only getting 16.2 miles per gallon. Do I need to take it in for a baseline service for my records? I plan to keep this car for a long time and I only put about 6500 miles on a car per year.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I have asked my dealer, my service guy & now I would like an answer from other owners who have already dealt with this problem.
I will be leaving my car (2008 Lexus RX 400h) yearly for 2-4 months without it's being driven. What do I do with the hybrid battery? Is the answer a battery charger/conditioner that the dealer installs & that I plug into an electrical outlet in the garage? Pros & cons? Other suggestions?
