My 1986 Maserati Q111 has only 12 digits any one know why?

My 1986 Maserati q111 has only 12 digits in the vin#, when most of them have 17 digits can anybody help me out?

I have a 85 Maserati with 3700 actual miles. It has been in storage for 18 years. Needs engine work. Have parts - value?

maz biturbo,85 in storage 18 years,37000 miles, body good, interior good, needs time-belt, water pump which I have but needs installation is it worth it to put 2or3 thous into it, I have put 2thou in chrome wheels and tires and am now wondering what the value will be restored and if it has any value the way it is? richard
