03Sunfire - right headlight dimmer than left; replaced both bulbs, no change. Also service light & bright indicator stays on

03 Sunfire-rt headlight has always seemed dimmer than lt; tonight seemed like maybe it was out, so switched to bright lights, at that time service light came on dash, switched back to low beam & bright light indicator stayed on, so now cannot turn on fog lamps; replaced low/high beam bulbs tonight, no difference; almost seems like the right headlight is on daytime running lights all the time

A lot of times, a dim headlight could be the "ground" for that lamp. If you can see where it goes to the chassis, you may be able to clean up any corrosion and see if that fixes it. Not sure on the service light though, unless it has something to do with too much current being drawn due to high resistance in that headlight circuit. Do you have a wiring diagram for the car? If so, it should show where the ground is.
