05 Subaru Impreza is making strange noises when making a slow turn. AWD or steering?

05 Subaru is making noise when making any slow turn. Feels almost like transmission but car runs fine on the road through gears. Could it be AWD or steering problem?

you could be having problems with you transfer clutches, when these start to go bad there is a binding type feeling along with some noises, these clutches are used to control your rear wheels when the car is slipping in the snow or leaves or if your just out driving in the woods, this is the only thing that will make your car have 4wd,i have actually changed these clutches with out removing the whole transmission, but i have been working on tranny's for years best thing to do is take it to a tranny shop with this info and see what they can do,did you pull any codes from this car??

It could be several things. Have you checked your CV joints? Torn CV boots? There's less engine & wind noise at low speeds and its easier to hear worn axles then.
