'05 Toyota Camry security alarm goes off for no reason.

I have an '05 Camry Xle and the panic alarm sometimes goes off for no reason. When it happens it usually happens 2-4 times within a few minutes or an hour. Sometimes the key fob is sitting on a table or floor and no one is even around it. It also can happen in a purse or empty bedroom. I can deactivate by pressing the door unlock button or panic button. Any ideas?

The factory alarm has a sensitivity issue. The dealer can sometimes adjust it, or if need be, replace it. If it is an after market alarm you'll need to track down the manufacturer to see who services them, and not all of them can be remedied.
