07 Buick Lucerne CXAt steady speeds I sense periodic subtle resistance and slight tugging instead of smooth driv

I have had it into two different dealers, who have not acknowledged any issues with it. I drive 80 miles a day and definitely feel like something is not right. Any ideas? I might have confused the issue at the dealers by reporting it must be something with the engine or transmission. (both of which apparently check out OK)

Is your periodic subtle resistance, the air conditioner cycling on and off (also used if the defroster is on) ?

When the clutch engages and turns the compressor, there is a definite drop in usable HP to the wheels. Perhaps that is what you are feeling.
