1986 Chevy S-15 Jimmy oil lines leak. Can I cut them off and replace with new lines and radiator clamps?

The service manual calls for an oil cooler hose assembly, this is a steel and rubber hose assembly designed for high pressure and the working underhood environment, there are flared fittings on each end of the hosesthat connect from the oil filter adapter to the radiator fittings

Using standard hose you run the risk of seperation at the hose ends

the cost for the hose assembly is between $50 and $80 dollars, which is a small price to pay for peace of mind.

remember oil and rubber dont really match in time you will loose go factory with them if you plan to keep it for a while
