1994 BMW 325i convertible has an intermittent instrument cluster. Gauges, warning lights go on and off.

1994 BMW 325i convertable. Instruemnt guages go off and on randomly while driving. Possible ground issue but I do not know where to begin to resolve the issue. There is no pattern of going off and on. Car has 112k All guages, gas, spedo, tac, cooling including the warning lights goes off and on. I am desperate for a solution of where to begin to resolve the issue.

Thank you,

Renfrance

I guess I'd start with investigating the possibility of a corroded fuse box.

If not that I might suspect the plug in connector that connects the instrument panel circuit board to the wiring harness. I bet a BMW specialist knows exactly where to look, and that this is not an uncommon problem with these cars.
