1994 Honda Accord automatic transmission problems.
I have a 94 Accord LX, and have been running into some strange situations. First, little after starting to drive, the D4 light started to blink steadily, and would continue to while either driving or parked, or untill the car was turned off. While this was happening, the speedomoter also started to go crazy, then completely stopped reading. The car would also begin to surge when slacking gas and slowing down, and the RPM would bounce up and down... It also felt as if the transmission was not shifting at some points.
I was told that it may be the speed sensor, so I went and got that changed. The problem went away for about 2 days, then returned.
Upon the return of the problem, the car seemed to only want to "GO" in low gearing, and would only rev when in drive.
At this point, I was told that it was most likely my transmission, so I then went and got that changed.
Again, the problem went away for a short period of time (1 day) and returned.
Now, the car is repeating all the same things, and seems to have less power off the start. Anyone know what the problem is here? Any suggestions?
Also, there was a new torque converter with the transmission. The transmission, flex plate, and T/C came from a 92 accord. Could the problem be form a miss setting of the flex plate or T/C? PLEASE HELP!
