1998 Mazda Protege cig lighter broken. fuse is fine. stopped working after using a air compresor. how can i fix?

1998 Mazda Protege ESs checked fuse it is fine. filled a tire with an air compressor pluged in to lighter. it never worked again. what parts could be replaced to fix it? what could be the problem besides the fuse. need the lighter to plug in gps! any help would be great. thanks.

I would check that the circuit is on a different fuse. The fuse would have been the normal thing to blow with heavy current draw.

Can you get access to an electrical schematic for your car?

I looked in the car manual and the fuse was the same as a few other things. it told me what fuse it was and showed a diagramed
