lock the drivers door and then unlock it with the key, this should reset the security system, if not, I think you are still correct in suspecting the security system as the reason for the no start.
Have you tried turning the the key on and leaving it on for 10 minutes in the on possition(letting it run a mouse) then try start the vehicle. The dealer says that will reset the security.
