2001 Ford Taurus low coolant light remains on.

I just bought this 2001 taurus, but now see that the low coolant light remains on even though the resevoir is full. Help? Should I have "buyers remorse"?

There is probably a sensor in the reservoir that's broken. If so, should be a cheap easy fix.
