2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee sometimes doesn't start. New ignition installed. Happens again. Battery power is fine. Help!

Has anyone else had their JGC not start for no apparent reason? Car will sit for 2-3 days, then startup fine. Had the ignition replaced by Jeep, worked for a while, now the problem has returned. The starter is not the problem. Battery is fine, have lights and horn while vehicle is not starting.

It is probably a bad starter relay or a bad neutral safety switch. The starter relay is a Chrysler signature headache; most other brands of cars do not use this part, so mechanics often miss it. If it is the neutral safety switch; sometimes the car can be persuaded to start by moving the gear selector from Park to Neutral, and trying to start it there.

I hope this helps!!!
