    I would check the power steering fluid level to make sure it is not low. Sometimes the level will drop after it runs long enough to drive the air pockets out of the system. The other thing that could cause noises would be if the drive belt was misaligned, if the mounting brackets were cracked or not properly tightened, if a mounting bolt was missing, or if the belt tension was not set correctly.
