2002 Hyundai Accent was running great until yesterday, multiple interlock problems

As I stated it was running good, came out to start it and starter motor spinning but not engaging flywheel. At first thought it was bad bendix but then noticed other problems. Was unable to remove key from ignition, shift stuck in park, brake lights on without touching brake pedal, door locks would not lock or unlock with keypad.

Took apart brake switch and it looked fine, fiddled with adjustment and got the brake lights to work but nothing else. I am stumped and parts nowadays are too expensive to go around poking and hoping, Hope somebody out there has any suggestions.

Yes, cars are too expensive these days to go poking and fiddling around with unless you have the proper tools and service literature,

May i suggest you choose one course of action or another,,,

A. Have car serviced by Hyundai dealership.

B. Got to Hyundai dealership, purchase a factory service manual and use this book to follow the correct order of operations to resolve the issues with your car.

Of course you could always go back to the poking and fiddling around hoping that by chance you will be lucky enough to get it fixed.

Your solutions are very sensible and pragmatic however, I don't have the resources to pay a dealer. I thought there might be a sensor or relay with a common thread to all the interlocks that had faulted out. But thanks for your suggestions
