There is no set mileage for shock replacement because it depends a lot on where and how you drive. If it is stop and go driving on potholed city streets, most vehicles require a shock change at 60-80K miles. If it is smooth highway driving, usually the shocks are good for 120K miles. In your case, you are at the outside limit of shock life, so you should change the shocks at this time. Even if they still rebound normally, they are close to being totally worn out and you will be surprised how much nicer the truck handles with new shocks at this stage. I would not spend a lot of money on fancy shocks. Stick with a set of Monroes or if you prefer Japanese shocks try KYBs.
