There are two typical types of hard start problems, each with totally different cuases. Which symptoms do you have?

1.) The starter will turn the engine very very slowly, and/or won't have enough power to engage the starter and turn it at all...and you'll hear a click, click. These are electrical and starter problems.

2.) The starter turns the engine at normal speed, but the engine just doesn't fire up and run by itself. These are engine problems like: fuel delivery, spark, compression, etc. If these are your symptoms, how does the vehicle run when you do get it going? Are there any error codes? How many miles, and what maintenance has been done to it in the past?

How fast does the starter spin? If the engine is cranking slowly, it might not start. If the starter is spinning normally and it doesn't start, then I'd suspect an enrichment problem with cold start valve.

Also, you might try using synthetic oil (which you should be using in this engine anyway).

20 degrees or below is a severe operating climate. You may need to consider an engine heater or battery warmer.
